Light a Candle

Hi there Acme Pride!I believe in that saying. I think that nothing will change if we just whine and vent about our problems, and cry whenever things don't go the way we want them too when we don't do anything about it. I think that it's best to do everything that we can to change what's happening before we complain. Complaining won't get us anywhere.

It's very true, if we don't like how something is than it would be best to at least change that if you can't bear to live with it. Though the problem is that most people only change them when it is more difficult not to change than it is to stay in their current situation.

Hi there! you know the song "One little candle"?

It says..
"it is better to light just one little candle than to stumble in the dark. Better far that you light just one little candle, all you need is a tiny spark. if we all say a prayer that the world would be free, a wonderful dawn of a new day we'd see.."
That song says it all.. Why would we want to go through the darkness if there's one reason to go though it all with one light?

It's just like when you're in the verge of giving up. Would you give up if you see one reason not to? One candle may not be much, but it will be enough to go through the night till the sun rises..

I agree. It's better to be having a bad time in the light than in the dark because you can see. There are more options when you can "see" something. If you are in the dark you can run into more problems and keep yourself in the same bad situation. So by being able to see you have an advantage, but what you choose to do while you have light is up to you.

it applies in life if you keep cursing your problems instead of finding ways to solve it you will still sufer

Be part of the solution, of course. But cursing the dark must first occur...some people don't realize that they're in the dark...:)

yea it is true. but if there is an accomany of storm with dark, can a candle be lighted up?...

Very insightful... but sadly there is not always a candle to be found. I think that before you despair it is always best to try to find a solution. Sadly sometimes the solution is just the acceptance of a situation. Sometimes you have to accept that you have no power over your circumstances. Sometimes you have to accept pain and suffering as a part of life. Sometimes you have to forgive yourself for the anger and bitterness you feel. Sometimes you have force yourself to get up in the morning with only the determination to survive.

I agree with it completely although somtimes it's very hard to do. Everything seems to be coming down on you and there is no light you feel, shall we say, at the end of the tunnel. It's there, you just have to be patient and wait for it to shine.
And sometimes you just have to find the matches....which were sitting right along side of you.

If you don't like things the way they are do something to change it. Cursing the dark or whatever does nothing, the situation doesn't change and no one is helped. To "light the candle" may involve work, but the situation change and you and others can now see. So yes I guess I agree with the statement.
