Her Aunt came to the rescue!

My daughter is missing her dad. He has been gone since 11:30 this morning on biz trip. And the 1st night of the trip is always the most difficult for her. Her Aunt and one of her cousins has come to spend the night. They made peanut butter rice crispy treats and are watching movies. Ever have a family member take your or your kids mind off something?

That's a nice story. I'm glad your daughter was able to be comforted by her aunt. That speaks of a good relationship. I hope she is happier by now, a full 5 days after your original posting date. Best wishes to you all.

That is a tough thing to go through. My daughter and I have had to do that sometimes also in the past. My little sister, which is her aunt, also came over to spend time with her or take her to her apartment to spend the night.
