WoW, that is an awesome way to make money. I'm glad it has worked for you quite well. I haven't thought of selling books at Amazon; now you've given me an idea. I might try it. Yes, clearing out the clutter and turning it to profit is terrific. Appreciate you sharing!

i have no idea that we can sell used books in amazon too. thanks for sharing us this info. will have to check it out since i have some really good books here that isn't used anymore, i hope i can sell them too. this is a better way to get rid of clutter and earn at the same time.

Is this the Amazon Marketplace? You send the item directly to the customer, right? And I guess they submit the money to Amazon through PayPal or something. I definitely have a lot of extra books, so I should look into this. Thanks!

We usually have a yard sale each spring to get rid of books but that's a great idea. We did the same thing with stuff that we hadn't unpacked when we moved a few times.

I put them for sale on eBay and made a nice little pile of cash.

Great, its nice to know that, i have many books here that i used during my school days, i wonder if this will works for me. Selling books in amazon maybe this will not work for me because i am living in the Philippines and its cost much in shipping. Well, i am happy for you, your not just cleaning stuffs but as well you earned from doing it.

I too have cleaned out alot of "clutter" on Amazon . . .it is an amazing place and my hats go off to whomever it was that started it. . . for not only does it help us clean out a few things .. but it also is a great savings to the person that wants what we no longer need! I am not only a seller there but I am also a buyer. . .I find I rather go there than to the bookstore. . and there was a time when I loved nothing more than spending an hour browsing the store. .

I have also sold alot of DVD's there. . they go like hot cakes. . . and for such a great price . . especially since most of my DVD's have been watched maybe once!

I think that is an excellent idea. I have sold some books on cash4books.net. I think there are some things that are good and amazon sounds like a good place to go to be able to get rid of books and I think I am going to set up a seller account on there. It is a good place and does have many good books for sale.

The only problem is that sometimes books that you spent a lot of money on go for a lot less on Amazon than they do in school bookstores. And Amazon takes a rather large commission. For books they charge a $1.35 closing fee (other departments vary) and they take 15% commission. So on a book that sells for 4.00, you only actually recieve $2.05 plus the shipping credit. Although getting rid of the clutter is nice, its just not worth the time and effort for $2.00 for a book I spent $50.00 on originally. I'd rather donate them to free textbook trading services (many universities have them) and libraries.

Is Amazon available in Philippines? because i really tons of books that i want to get rid..some book during college days and after that..ive been asking my friends if they have other friends who might want to use it, they can just get my book but its still on my shelf. the last books that i want to store are my set of twilight and HP..i wanna get rid of the rest of the books.
