Life's Not Fair

I know there are worse cases around and am thankful that I am not as bad as I thought I am. What kind of people will we be if we never have trouble? We learn courage when we face danger, we learn patience when we endure suffering all these are part of living.

we should never surrender to life problems. I applaud your courage to fight what ever that goes against the grains in life.

thanks seems to me like have always had too as every thing I ever did was against alomost every thing my parenents did except we all did stay with our families and raised them.

Hi Cats, so how is your mum doing? My dad suffered brain stem stroke and organs failure and did not survive two years ago. It has been a great blow to my life as he was close to me and my life is never the same again with the loss of my father and my mentor. But obstacles in life will uncover things about ourselves that we never knew. Challenges make us stretch, they make us go beyond the norm.

Hi zandi, thank you for asking about my mom. She's very depressed because she used to be so independent and now she's not. She's right handed and it's mainly her right side that was affected. She can just barely write but it's almost unreadable. Her broken rib is healing but still grabs her at times but she is getting better all the way around but it's "oh so slow" process.
Bless your heart! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! We almost lost mom three times but luckily with us being there A LOT like we were, she got better treatment than she would have. I almost got arrested a few times because I wouldn't take the nurses or doctors crap so they found out in a hurry that I wasn't going to take any of it except the best of care because although it's not their mom and yes she's lived her life, she's MY mom and will get the best of treatment that she deserves! But all in all, it is what it is. But for you please accept my condolences on your dad and please know that he loved you so very much and is very proud of you!! I have no doubt that he's watching over you right this very moment!!

We are always faced with the natural blows in life. Life may not always be fair but it is never dull. There are bound to be disappointments but God has given us the brain and strength to reset our life and that is what exactly you are doing to amend and change the course of your life to achieve your dreams.

Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward for those things which are ahead is paving the road to individuals success.

Life is a mystery. We will never understand the path that leads us to our failures or success in life. If only we know what lies ahead, a quick detour would have avoided pitfalls. These ladies you mentioned may have untroubled life, is having all the good fortune! while our trouble may be a blessing in disguise, their blessings may be trouble hiding! wealth has spoiled many a man. Wealth brings with it vast temptations. Prosperity has more perils then poverty. A person you envy for her untroubled life may be sick with boredom. I am skeptical of "you reap what you have sown' I've practiced this principle in my relationship of over 27 years with my husband. I have given everything but at the end of the day he reaps the benefits. It is a long story to narrate but this is only the gist of the story. Looking back I wonder how I managed to hold on. I may conclude that life's not fair but God is Good. He provides me with material comfort but not emotional happiness. I wait and see what is the next chapter of my life will be like.

Anyway; you say "life is a mystery." I think that's an understatement but I doubt that I could improve on it.

The ladies I mentioned paid a toll for their winnings, they had to lose their husbands! And good ladies that they were, they suffered at their loss. So there's always a toll. BUT once you get past a phase you always find another, and that's where the mystery appears, we don't know what that phase might be made of.

It's like those fortunate people that win great big fortunes and then have to decide who to hide from and how. Poor people may not have such high profile decissions to make, but may have to worry about how to feed and dress the little ones, and how to protect and heal them. Next phases are unavoidable.

A person might look back and lament a certain decission, but then should also stop and wonder, "if I had taken the alternative route, what might have been the alternative results?" FORGET IT!
Not worth it.

Once I had the strangest, most unusual dream: I dreamed that my X was leaving my presence and she turned and spoke a series of numbers (!) When I woke up I felt strange, because 1) we were divorced, 2) I never dreamed about her, 3) I never dreamed numbers, AND 4) I hardly ever remembered my dreams!!!

I decided I should play the Loto, so I rushed after work and found the sale was closed, so I couldn't play.
Next day I checked if those numbers had come out, but they hadn't.
Get ready for the clincher:::

THEN I WONDERED, "IF I HAD PLAYED... would theose numbers have come out?"

I remembered winning from the numbers that came out in my dream. Though the win was small but it prove that dreams are reliable. You just missed the chance. Someone ever tell me not to buy numbers randomly unless it comes out from a dream. Next time don't hesitate when you dream of numbers.

I agree with you. Be a believer and you be an achiever. Act confidently, it helps you to think confidently. We cannot control circumstances but we can be the architect of circumstances. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? But it is true. It has been proven by many living examples. One fine example is Abraham Lincoln who was a self-made man. Though he was poor, he studied law on his own and rose to become America's President. He went from a log cabin to the white house. He was also responsible for abolishing slavery in United States.

The the chapter found in luke 18:27 "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

You put that right. It is essential to have high esteem, since the world will identify you with the same price tag that you set on yourself. I think the main factor in life is to think positive. No matter how bad a problem may seem to surface, if you remain positive you will see how everything has worked out for the best.

I agree nothing comes easy. All of us have within us inner potential and power to do almost anything. What we need is commitment.
