Girls: does the ring have to have diamonds?

I not big on diamonds. I love pink sapphires

I don't fancy diamond. I think its up to the girl taste though. Well all the publicity about diamond is forever had an impact on that idea.

I like simple design ring. Even a plain gold ring is fine for me.

When my friend got engaged I really imagined myself having a diamond ring. But since we do not have enough money at that time we could only afford a silver pair. We are both happy with our rings but he promised to upgrade our rings. When my friend and her fiance broke up I told my boyfriend that it doesn't matter whether he would give me a ring or not as long as we are happy and inlove with each other. Now we are planning for our wedding, we already have our rings and true to his promise he upgraded our silver rings. Now we have a gold band with 9 diamonds in it which is more than I dreamed of.

I could care less, the ring means nothing, the commitment behind it does but that commitment should be evident in the way you act and treat your partner. A ring is just a hunk of metal and rock when compared to the love, devotion and commitment of your partner.

When I got engaged...I would have been and was happy with whatever my fiancee
chose to give me. It was from his heart and that is all that mattered to me. I was so in love...I'd have been fine with no ring....I really would have. On my second marriage...I did not get an engagement ring. It did not matter to me one bit. I know that seems weird but our commitment to each other meant so much more to me than anything at all.

LOL UKShree you know how costly diamond is, i don't think i can afford it, but what we call American diamond of good quality is also sparkling, may be less though. I gave one to my wife recently. Thanks for this nice post, keep sharing, happy posting, cheers
