Creepy gift | | First off, let me state that I love my grandma dearly. But I got gift that kind of creeped me out. She sent me a birthday card with a picture of my little second cousins. That was not at all creepy; in fact, it was cute. The creepy part was the fact that there was a picture of my dead grandfather (who I also love) blended in. He died before my second cousins were even born. No it looks kind of like he's looking at them as they play.
I can see why whoever did this thought it would be a cool thing. But too me, it's plain disturbing. Because I love all the people photographed, I don't want to through away the picture. At the same time, I don't feel like I will be well if it remains on my fridge (where I had my assistant put it).
What to do? What to do? How do I not offend anyone, but at the same time guard my sanity.

Maybe you could just put it away and when she comes to visit, stick it on the fridge. Haha, I guess that sounds a bit mean to do, but it works and no feelings get hurt.

Perhaps in you can write a thank-you note for the thoughtful card she put together for you, noting how though you loved it, how it was sad to see your grandfather who you miss so much, especially with others who are still young and never got the chance to meet him. I think that's what I'd do myself.
