 How long will you keep your mobile phone before you get a newer model? Supposing it doesnt break or get lost. How many years (or months) were you able to keep any of the mobile phones you've owned before?
I was able to keep my ericsson phone for 2years and then i sold it to my dad. He had the joystick fixed and it's actually in good condition. he's using it as his secondary phone.
im not really the type who replaces a mobile phone because there's a new fad. i invest on a good one and make sure i use it for a long time.

2.  believerachel (613) | 6 months ago |  I never just replaced a new phone cause I wanted an upgrade, all the times I replaced my phone was because the other one broke or was damaged. I don't see the point in buying a phone just cause it's a fad. I am very happy with the phone I have and according to my preferences, no other phone would suit my needs!

 sanelaze (106) | 6 months ago | yeah you're right. unless of course, the phone compan decides to give you a free upgrade, then why not right. besides, i dont like the idea of having to transfer my data (phonebook n messages) in a new phone. although they can do it pretty easily using a computer, it's still not worth the hassle your main purpose for a cellphone is to call and text. | |

3.  kmaram (1707) | 6 months ago |  Well i dont change my phone more often. I have my motorola for 3 years already, i am not the type of person that will change phone everytime there is new one. I have known someone that change phone everytime there are new phone available what she do is sell her old phone to be able to get the new phone. Well i am not like that as i said i have my motorola for 3 years already and as long as the phone is ringing=) and receiving txt i will stick to it.

i have friends who like to trade in their phones when there are new models that they like. but im just not one of them. i dont think it's practical although i do have to admit it's a little embarrassing to use an old model phone when you're surrounded by colleagues who has the most advanced mobile technology. It makes you feel a bit inferior for a minute or two.

Motorola phones are great.I have mine too and its almost 4 yrs with me..hmmm 2004 december when my sister ive it to me as a gift and till now i have it.There is no need to be phone fanatic,the important thing is (us Pinoy's) as long as we can received calls and text will stick to it.The only prob i have with my motorola is i cant received text sometime because you have to refresh or restart,maybe its because it hung up's. Now i have 2 units for 2 networks..
Love my units,cant leave without them..ill just change them if i lost it or it wont function totally.As long as you know how to care for it,it will last long.

Ive spent too much already trying to have it fixed all the time so I guess it's tme to change it. I guess a lot of people could attest that Motorola phones last longer than most. Although I agree it has a lot to do with how you care for your mobile. Anyway Im still considering getting a motorola phone unless i come across a really good phone from other brands.

I usually buy used phones or get hand-me-downs from my brother abroad so my usual rate of phone change is relatively more variable than the usual. But if I'm to choose, I'd rather pick phones based on how it could be assimilated in my lifestyle. For example, I'm quite a user of GPRS before for my Twitter and other mobile accounts so when 3G arrived, I made the switch.

| sanelaze (106) | 5 months ago | hi rivengodwind. i guess it really boils down to which phone will best suit your needs. at least you're one of those people who maximize the features of their mobile phones. and its pretty convenient that you have a brother as your source of hand-me-down phone. I also usually buy my siblings' phone when they decide to upgrade. i don't like to buy used phones unless i know the person who used them before me.
i have yet to switch to a 3g phone since i dont use that feature (yet) | |
