***Something To Think About Which Maybe You Didn't***

I just did a discussion on Writing Articles and Blogging and what the difference is, when this question came into my mind also. This would be geared more towards people who have an online income and possibly have a residual income too. You could be married or you can be single, doesn't matter. You can make a whole bunch of money, maybe living off it, or it can just be a minor amount but decent. If something happened to you, does your family have your online passwords so they can collect the money that's left? Do you know what I mean? Here's an example.......Say perhaps you're making an online living of, we'll say, $2000.00 monthly, just a rough estimate. Something happens to you and you pass on. Where does this money all go to? I would want my children to have it of course, so they need all my passwords for all these websites, including my Paypal address so they can claim it. I don't care if it's only $50.00, I want them to have it. Think about all the people all over the world doing this and no one in the family knows any passwords, or exactly where your money is coming from....your Wife, your Husband, your Mom or Dad, your Brothers or Sisters, Children, Charity, etc. Wouldn't you want someone to collect instead of this money going to waste which no one knows about? I thought about this the other day when I was telling my youngest daughter that I would love to be able to write and make some money at it, and also have a nice little "residual income" every month. We laughed of course because I told her I want to make a few thousand a month, pay my bills, buy a car, just goofing off with her. That's when this all dawned on me.....I thought to myself what if I did really start making money? And after a few years, I'm gone. How would my kids get this money if I don't tell them exactly how to get it......I don't want some website making money off my work and then ending up keeping it after a certain time. Have you ever thought about it or is it just me going bonkers? I can trust my daughters completely, absolutely all the way, so I have no fear whatsoever about giving them all my passwords today. If you're leary about this, at least write all your passwords down on a piece of paper somewhere so they can find it. If you keep them online somewhere of course they'll need your password to log on and get them. Does this make sense to you? Does your family or whomever you would like to leave your money to know all your passwords, etc?

I have a book by my computer with my passwords etc in it so if I should kick the bucket my kids would be able to see what I have been up to....my SIL that works on my websites has my passwords and I trust him....but my youngest daughter is the one who has the required info....with the exception of what I should have in a will..

That's nice to hear Jill, it was just something I thought of all of a sudden, just in case I make my millions, lol! I think I will do that too, just for the heck of it and have them in my one folder at home. Not that there's anything important right now but still, I do belong to one website where I do data entry called KeysForCash and right now there's over $30.00 in it, so that's something I guess. Thank you for your response!

I had not thought of this, but my husband knows where I write all of my passwords and we both have our names on the Pay Pal, so I think we are good. I also know where his passwords are written.

Hi GardenGerty! Thanks for responding, and I see you are well covered. I'm really surprised I didn't get more responses for this, maybe I should have put it in the money category instead. I really didn't think too many people would have thought about this but I guess I'm wrong, again, haha. It's so good that your hubby knows all your passwords and vice versa. I think it's rather important for people to realize this, which is something that could easily slip one's mind. Thanks and have a good day!

My Paypal account is not a problem, I have a debit card to which my PIN is known by key family members. So they can easily get that money. It's unlikely they could get much, maybe lunch from McDonald's Dollar menu.

Hey, no matter what the amount, why let someone else have it. You did make me laugh though as right now I have "0" in my Paypal account. Maybe I'm dreaming big, haha.
