I also want to learn how to bake cookies. When I was a kid, we used to have our own baking equipments like oven, electric beater. We baked some bread, ensaymadas. But unfortunately, the apartment that we were renting was hit by a fire and all equipments we have were history.

I am sorry to hear about the apartment you lived in and the equipment you had.
I took home economics and food service class in school but funny they didn't teach us how to make cookies.
Taught us how to serve and make crepes and other things.

There are literally hundreds of different kinds of cookies to make. One of the easiest cookies to make is the peanut butter cookie. The only way to really mess them up is to over cook them. Here is the basic recipe for peanut butter cookies:

These were the first kind of cookies I ever made by myself. I was only 11 so you can see how simple these are. After that move on to another simple cookie such as a chocolate chip cookie. The packages of chocolate chips usually have the recipe right on the package. Just follow it exactly and you will have lovely home made cookies.
One tip is to decrease the cooking time after the first pan of cookies bakes. Just by about a minute. The oven tends to get hotter as you bake more batches.

I love baking cookies especailly during holiday time. I make chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, sugar cookies and a cookie called Snow Balls. My husband is diabetic so I try to make them as sugar free as possible. I wish the weather would be be a little bit cooker so I can start baking again. Right now it is 90 degrees outside and it is too hot to bake. I can send you some recipes.
