A Very Happy Canada Day To All!!!!!   

Happy Canada Day to you, your husband, and all other Canadians (and people living there)!

I'm not Canadian, but I like a lot of things about the country, including many musicians from there. So I'll be listening to Canadian music much of today at the CBC Radio 3 Web site, where they stream music continually.

You might be interested in an op-ed article in today's New York Times... it's brief statements from Canadians living in he U.S., saying what they miss most about the country...

Congrats! We ( India ) have our independence day in the month of August, 15th AUgust 1947 is the day and i love to c the flag hoisting that day.
Its a pride feeling and iam sure u r going through the same as well. We have a nice gathering that day and a lot of fun things are done. A lot of sporting activities also takes place that day.

Happy Canada Day to you too! We don't really do a whole lot to celebrate. DH is working until 7pm. If it's not raining we may go see the fireworks. It's not that I'm not a proud Canadian because I very much am, but a lot of the celebrations cost money and there are money grabbers everywhere trying to sell you stuff. Enjoy your night!

My sister and i joined our parents for the Canada Day Parade in town. Then we went to the legion and had hamburgers and juice. My sister and i checked out a couple garage sales then we went back to my place and painted the deck. I returned her to my parents for supper and we watched a movie then all went to bed or home.

We didnt go to the fireworks this year. I heard they were really good but i wasnt in the mood for another crowd of people.

I celebrated with my kids and boyfriend this year. We didn't do much of anything. Just went to a local display here in London, ON, stood around in the rain in awe of the magic in the sky, and then came home to do 6 of our own fireworks and some sparklers.

I suggested to my boyfriend while the fireworks were going off at the park, to kiss me with his eyes open... that way we could honestly say we kissed and saw fireworks. It worked!!! Any excuse for a kiss is a good excuse to me!
