Have you ever fainted?

Congratulations on your baby girl! The only time I came close to fainting was after a long bus trip and I was very hungry by that time; I was also meeting a friend at the bus station that I hadn't seen in a few years, so with all the excitement, as I got up to get off the bus and stepped onto the pavement, my knees buckled and I felt very swimmy headed as soon as I saw my friend. Luckily he caught me on my way down to the pavement. I didn't get hurt because he caught me, thank God.

Oh my, that is a lot of blood.
I have never fainted or lost that big amount of blood that I know of.
But when my son was born so fast, the nurses warned me that in cases where the baby is born that fast, there is more of a chance of bleeding, so they were checking on me quite regularly. Thankfully nothing happened.

What an awful experience you had but it is wonderful you have your gorgeous little girl as a result. I fainted regularly when pregnant with my first son due to low blood pressure. Several times, this was in the street. It is an awful feeling when the blackness comes over you. My fainting/falls didn't affect my baby and, for some reason, it didn't happen during my other pregnancies.

Congrats on your baby girl!! Yeah i fainted once in my life. I was late for my chemistry lab and i was literally running for my class that day. Didn't had breakfast either. So i was standing there listening to the lecture and than suddenly i found the smell of the room too hard to bear, the temperature too hot and than out of the blue i felt so weak and everything goes white. When i open my eyes everyone was crowding over me and i was on a chair with water splashed over my face. GOD!! That was really embarassing!! Later, my friend told me that i was out only for a few minutes. Then onwards i got a lot of teasing and mimicking of my action for the whole semester. Bad experience..

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I hope you are feeling better by now. I have fainted numerous times but the one that was the worse was when I was on my way to work. I was waiting for the Staten Island Ferry to come in and I all of sudden felt weak and clammy. I told the two strangers standing next to me I'm going to pass out. As the words came out I started falling to the ground and they helped me us to a chair. I rested for awhile and decided I needed to go back home. I fainted because I have low blood sugar. I need to eat at least 6 small meals aday to keep my blood sugar up. Take care and have fun with your baby. Remember to sleep when she does at least the first month. Good Luck!

yes i do experienced that. i was 17 years old that time, and i was attending a mass. and that time was noon time, the church are so crowded because its sunday. so many people will attend a mass. i was standing all thru out because of so many people. and all of sudden i felt like im weakening, and after 20 minutes i think, i woke up and seeing a lot of people are helping me, carrying me going outside the church. i was so thankful that time that some people has a good heart to help me, they treat me in a restaurant because they think that im hungry thats why i fainted, but i really dont know whats the reason why i fainted, i dont fell hungry that moment really.

No matter what had happened, to be a mother must be a very happy and blessed thing.

tee hee, when i was a kid i was working food prep at a restaurant. i was cutting veggies when everything started to go black, legs were giving out on me.... i didn't want to fall so i grabbed the first thing i could reach to keep from going down. it was the blade for slicing. let me tell ya, that woke me right up and i ended up with 23 stitches. didn't actually faint though......

Oh my, thats sounds really scary! You have a wonderful gift at the end of the day so it was worth it but no, i have never had a loss of blood or any hemoraging during either of my two pregnancy and Im thankful and you sound really brave because of it.
I have experienced low blood pressure before and I DID NOT like it at all so I really admire that you were able to make it through ok and your baby girl, best wishes.

Yes, once. It was quite embarrassing. During my first semester finals as a grad student, I got so overtired I was sitting on a toilet in the library at school and fainted dead away. I landed on the floor and everything! My personal assistant who was from Lebanon was screaming, "Martina is dead. Martina is dead" over and over again. Finally, we had to recruit some male strength to pick me up and put me back in my wheelchair. That night of course I got some sleep.
