Go A Little Greener... Does It Really Hurt?

i always make sure that i switch off all the lights and powers from the main switch when i am not using the electricity... i use my green bag when i do my grocery shopping instead of using their plastic bag... i recycle my rubbish... i try to do my part as a citizen to keep this world greener... and as you say, every little part plays which is very true... take care and have a nice day...

lol, i used to drive my family crazy too. i worked in the recycling industry for years. instead of speeches i just showed up at their houses with green boxes and set them up. didn't take them long to realize that throwing paper in the paper box was a lot easier than having piles around the house and stuff. bought them fabric shopping bags too. i think they thought it would be a hassle to start so i just started for them.

I doesn't hurt at whole reciclye a few thinks, and people would save the planet.

I think that A LOT of ppl will be shocked in a few years, when they see the real consequences of the actions so many People do every day.

GOOD JOB! Keep annoying your family!haha. but actually keeps doing it. eventually it going to effect them and hopefully they will start to do some of the little things that does so much good for the world.

i like to think that my family doesn't many things to help out the environment.
- we turn off many of our power bars when we go to bed
- use a compost bin which is used for most of the year (when the backyard is not covered in snow
- use reusable bags
- i like to walk or take transit (subway or the bus) to get around the city
- in the summer we hang our clothes out side and we hang them around the house in the winter time
- using the dish washer and clothes washer at later times of the night puts lets stress on the city's water system
- toronto has a great system called the green bin. you can put old food, klenex, paper towel and degradable food packaging into the bin. the city collect your green bin material every week and they turn it into compost. this system has saved the city tons of garbage!

these are some of the small things you can do. it might seem as if it does little to nothing but it all adds up!

I guess the questio day is not does it hurt but rather is it required/ and the obvious answer is YES ....going Green as now become a necessary requirement in a number of parts of the world if we want to exist here for a few more years ..Did you know that there are cities and major cites in some part of the world where there is acute shortage of electricity due to decrease in the rainfall and thus leading to a major reduction in the generation of power...such countries have to switch to solar power which would not only help generate power the green way but also wash off the power supply problem ...I guess going a bit green can start at home ..the abolishment of plastic bags is really good but unfortunately it is so deep set in the system that compeletly elemenating them would become really difficult . We could also start by growing a lil plant in our rooms or offices ..a true start to a green world

I am a chinese student. In China, people used to use plastic bags when purchasing products, because it is free. But now, we will charge for plastic bags, so we usually use own own hoppocket when shopping. Most of the chinese have no co-awareness, i think we should learn from the suggestion you give for the same earth.

i don't think it hurts, it is really good to go green and having a green day of at least 1 day a week will go a long way in helping the body stay healthy, a green day or green week will be very advantageous for everyone who think their health is as important as anything else

The biggest saving of all would be to not live so long.

If we all cashed our chips in a three score years and ten the we would save a huge amount of energy.
