i have a question i was just reading a article that explained what gelatin is made out of. it's boiled pig feet or cow feet did anyone know that?? gross and what about the pig did you know that if you pour i think its either coke or pepsi onto raw pork you can see the worms come out, well that's i heard i don't know if that's true or not. so if people know that there are worms in pork why even bother to eat it so what it tastes good. you realize that you have worms running through your body that may be dead or alive!!! and what about beef now with all this ecoli killer meat. why even bother to buy any kind of meat that can kill you jut because it tastes good. Well all my meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and raw food eaters what do you think??

Well that is really charming apgh and guaranteed to make me think twice about the pork! Just bought a packet of gelatin to make a cheesecake but I can probably live with ingredients of that. In the last year we have been cutting down on meat a lot, mainly due to the huge increase in price, so pork became the one I bought more as it was so much cheaper, I never realised we were getting extra worms for the price. Think we'll definitely stick more with fish from now on.

hi thea09 yeah pork is a big meat industry so i am sure that they don't want to cause alarm for people who enjoy eating pork its a big money maker!!!! and yes the FDA knows about the worms they just tell the public to cook the meat on high or low temperatures and this and that but the fact is that no matter how you cook it the worms are still there.

Maybe your pork is different to our pork, probably in the US they turn a blind eye much more often than they do here, we are more in the kind of place where we can see the pig hanging up in the butchers rather than pre packaged mass produced. I am only assuming that the latter is the way meat is produced there. I did read a Robin Cook novel set in the beef industry which was enough to turn my stomach.

I've never heard about that worms in pork thing. To be honest I think that's just made up. I do know about gelatin, however, and I definitely don't eat it beacuse of that reason. i'm a vegetarian, and like most vegetarians..We generally try not to eat products that are derived from animals.

hi maezee you can do the research for yourself you can also check out this website page from you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2eEw26J0z8 you can also type the word trichinosis this is the type of worm you can get by eating pork. do your own research about pork and worms. But that is good that you are a vegetarian. if you look it up let me know what you find.
