Do you think about discussions you could post on Mylot when you can't sleep?

Last night I couldn't sleep no matter what I tried I've been awake for 2 days nearly, when I realised I really wasn't going to fall asleep I started writing down ideas for Mylot discussions I could post later. Do you ever do that if you can't sleep? Or if not thinking of Mylot discussions what do you do?

I had a rough night last night too for some reason. But about 2 weeks ago I woke up to go to the ladies room, and had a silly thought so I wrote it down, then I fell back asleep. I'm glad I had written it down, because I had no recollection of the idea when I woke up, and I was sure that I wouldn't have remembered it. It is a good thing to keep a pen and paper handy near the bed, isn't it? I couldn't survive without them, lol. Thanks for your time.

Do you put on a light or just scribble blindly in the dark and hope you can read it in the morning?

Luckily I have a small dim light for such an occasion. I used to have one that burned my retina's, lol, but when the bulb blew on it, I decided on a diode model -they sell them at the trusty Wal-marts. Happy scribbling!!

Yes I must dig out my note book and put it next to my bed as I had to hunt for a piece of paper.

I would actually dream up great discussions or ideas for discussion at the most irritating times, like trying to get to sleep, I would toss and turn with this idea in my head that I couldn't sleep, so what I do is keep a notepad besides my bed so that when I do come up with ideas I jot them down, because I nearly always forget them when I wake up. Sometimes when your head is full of too much stuff and your brain won't shut down then it's best to get it all out on paper!

Yes I'm going to find my notebook so I don't have to get up and hunt for paper again if this keeps happening.

It was quite unusual for me, I think I stayed up too late on the computer. apparently something about how the screen flickers keeps your brain awake for hours after you stop using it. I normally turn it off a couple of hours before I go to bed.

Well, I hope you get some sleep soon. If I can't sleep I like to get up and if there's nothing on television I will sometimes turn on the computer to see what new discussions are on here that i can respond to or perhaps check on my unresolved discussions and try to get back to the people who responded to my discussions. It usually doesn't last very long though when I get on Mylot at night because I get tired pretty fast if I stare at the computer and read this stuff late at night.

I find using the computer makes my mind race late at night, I think that's what happened to me the night before last, I have to turn off the computer before I go to bed.

If I can't sleep, I usually will get up and have a cup of tea and turn on the computer. But it's rare that I can't sleep. Hope you get some restful sleep soon.

I did finally but until the next night, sometimes it's the best thing to do when you have insommnia as your body just has to sleep after a full 24 hours awake.

Absolutely not, but then, it is most rare than I am unable to sleep! Then I would be staying awake trying to resolve some problem that I couldn't get to in the day and didn't want to go to bed unresolved, but was too tired to stay up any longer, and in truth, sleep usually wins out. Sometimes I do think of myLot discussions while eating, though, for some odd reason. And sometimes I am myLotting when I should be eating (or should be preparing food to eat!)

Yes that happens to me too but with cleaning, I should be cleaning my kitchen right now in fact.

I do the same-and I thought I was a little overly obsessed with Mylot. LOL Sometimes I have writer's block and have a hard time keeping the pace with Mylot. It seems I think a lot of strange things while trying to fall asleep and I come up with those kind of things when I have a quiet house to think in!

I have a laptop, so if I can't sleep, I just need to get up, turn on the computer, and write down whatever is on myy mind. It's nice being able to take the computer into whatever room i want. I am never bored on those nights when I can't sleep.

I am over that. When I was a newbie here , I am like that. I always have a pen and paper besides me and if I think of a discussion I write it. Even when I was sleeping before I do that. My brain is still awake, I wonder in my surrounding , I can still pick a discussions around me. As I became old member I get over it. But sometimes when I think of a discussion I still have my pen and paper besides me to write on.

Yes, I do this sometimes. I think of things I want to do, including discussions I intend to start here. Problem is, the more I think about it, the more I cannot sleep! Sometimes, it is because I am thinking about all that stuff that I can't sleep! Funny thing is, less than half of the stuff I think up actually makes it onto mylot!
