did you know that when applying for a credit card can sometimes lower your credit score that's if you get denied !!!!!!!! so be careful when applying for those credit cards with a free gift and other incentives.

Hi apgh, any rejection will show on your credit file and when lenders share the information between them a previous rejection will raise a flag so the new lender can take extra care in considering an approval. Also anyone applying for multiple credit cards will also flag for extra attention and probably result in a denial by the lender looking at the credit history.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I've applied for ONE card and got rejected from it; and that was a Victoria's Secret "Angels" credit card. I'm actually really thankful that I got denied, though, because I probably would have went crazy and got into a bunch of debt as a result!
