Ok, yeasterday I was at the local grocery store and a very loud lady and crying child got my attention.Out of impulse, I glanced over just in time to see her give the child a swat in the rear end. Another shopper noticed too and she made a comment to the mother saying that she shouldnt be hitting her child.
This then started a very loud arguemnet between the two women which almost turned physical!
I was wondering,do you think the other lady was right on commenting? I think she may have been just concerned for the child however, I probebly wouldve gotten upset too if I was the mother and someone was telling me what to do with my child, especially at that moment when I was having a difficult time and obviously very upset. What do you think? Was the other lady out of line?

i think the other woman's comment was uncalled for... she was out of line to me. she should just keep it to herself.
even i myself dont want to hear other people saying something about how i discipline my child. i would say a piece to that woman too, if i was that mother.

Hi. I belive it is up to every parent to decide how to correct their child. If more children were corrected then we may not have aot of children killing other children and thinking it is okay. And learning and being taught starts at home with the parents, and it starts at an early age.

Both may be right. The mother who hits the child should have done out of irritation caused by the kid.We all know how kids will cry for something which would be embarassing. To stop them crying, sometimes a blow is needed to say that is the limit. And on the other side the woman who asked her to avoid beating the kid would have done it for the kid.The mother could have stopped the scene without saying a word or giving out a smile. The heated argument should have been avoided.Cheers!
