Have You Ever Been Visited by a Deceased Loved One?

All my friends know I am a part-time Products Demonstrator (Demo Lady). Well this weekend while I worked, I believe my deceased husband paid me a visit! You meet all kinds of people when you are giving away free food, but this guy takes the cake. He walked past and slowly stopped, he just stared at me as if he thought he recognized me. I smiled, nodded, a offered him a sample. He just stared at me a moment longer and said, as if in second thought: "No, no thanks, I don't believe I would." He turned slowly to continue on his way but swung around quickly and asked me if I was married. I was so shocked, I didn't say a word. The way he asked seemed as if he was trying to be sure I was the person he thought I was, not like a pick-up line. He asked again, and then again with more urgency and I finally gathered my composure and said, no. I explained that I use to be but my husband died a few years ago. His face was even more serious than before when he asked: "Did you love him?" This took me by surprise as well, then I was a bit offended at this stranger's intrusions. He insisted upon knowing, so I told him the truth: "Yes, I loved him...very much. The stranger's face lit up with a beaming smile and he boasted: "I knew it!" He continued to fire off questions like how long were we married, etc. But as suddenly as he began asking me questions, he changed gears. He said he learned to read the bible in Hebrew, chatted about that for a few seconds and then began naming places he had visited to study scripture. What was most strange about this line of conversation is that the last place he mentioned living and studing was Germany. Next he began speaking in Deutsch! Now, here is why this incident was strange. That day was my wedding anniversary, the day before my youngest daughter turned 18. This guy's general discription was very similiar to my deceased husband's. I have worked this store for about 2 years and never saw this guy before. My husband died estranged from me but did try very hard to contact me before he passed. I wanted me to know he loved me and asked to come home. I had made my peace with his decision to leave years before and move on, rearing our three kids alone. My son did speak to him a few times but I never once replied to his emails or through the communications he had with our children. He did not know that I did love him before he died. Back to the story. When the stranger got in the checkout lane he stopped again, turned around, gazed upon me fondly and asked me if I knew I helped people with only my smile. He assured me it was so and then he checked out and I never saw or heard from him again. During the entire time he was around me, I could feel my husband's presence. I was spoked out! I have had a lot of unusual things happen in my life but this one was just plain wierd. Has anyone else ever been visited by a deceased loved one? What happened and how did you handle it?

No, but I wish I could be. I don't think that I would be scared at all. Actually I think I would really enjoy this experience. I would just hope it was my grandmother or grandfather that came back to talk or visit me. I miss them so much.

I'm sure they visit you often. My dad drops pennies for me, and sends morning doves. They both visit me in my sleep.
