Being treated badly because of having AIDS.

I just found out that a woman in our neighborhood has aids and the other neighbors that found out are all talking bad about her, shunning her and even keeping their children away from her 7 yr old daughter. I feel so terribly bad for her and want to help her. I want to be able to talk to these rude neighbors and get them to stop the way they are acting but dont know what to say. This woman is very nice and kind and was excepted and treated fine before.I just think that some people are so ignorant and really need to stop being so judgemental.

If you feel you should reach out do so. I am sure she is in need of a friend. Maybe these people need brochures on aids. To educate them on all the questions they have ,Or they may be the type that stay ignorant till it happens to them. Its so sad how cruel people can be to others.

Thanks for best response. I do hope over the holidays you can reach out to your neighbor unless you and them are both bleeding and come in contact there is no way you will ever catch it.Its always nice to see their are people who care unconditionally,A heart like yours should be shared!!!!
