Or you just like to feel comfortable, have a clean house and this is all?
Maybe you like to have a nice combination walls- furniture-carpets.
Do you like to have nice things for decoration, as plants, maybe some toys, maybe some antiques, candles, things like this who make home more worm and nice and make us feel good.
What style do you decorating your home?Classic? Modern? or very simple?

As I have only just (1 week ago) moved into my small one bedroom basement apartment, I am free to choose the style in which I would like it. Its a great feeling to be able to start from scratch, my landlord has given me carte blanch to decorate as I wish.
So right now I am removing all light switches and power outlets, cleaning them of old paint, and redecorating the walls in a beautiful white with a hint of peach, Ill then replace all the clean sockets and there I have my blank canvas to start adding all those nice touches that will make it feel like home.
Not sure yet what them I will follow, but being a small apartment it lends itself to simple, clean and bright lines, your few thing mentioned above have already given me some ideas. Thanks for that

Hello there, in a small apartment, first you need light, a lot of light, and white walls, maybe with a nice color for furniture, not to much furniture for a small place, simple and clean, and in a corner a nice plant, who will bring in your house a little piece of nature.

Personally, I don't care for rooms that look show-room picture perfect. They feel so sterile and set-up, and while I do think they're pretty, I don't feel comfortable in that kind of environment. It lacks the warmth and living of a real family, if you know what I mean lol. My home is clean and nice, yet guests, as well as my family, feel at home and at ease. People have often remarked that they always feel right at home when they're here. I go for an eclectic styling. I have a lot of antiques, as well as different types of pieces. I like what I like, and if it goes well with the other furniture, etc, then it looks nice together. I have lots of plants, candles, and warm color schemes. Lots of things I have were passed down through the years; they were well taken care of, and are timeless in their own style and beauty. My house was originally built in the early to mid 1800's, and has a charming design layout, wood built-in cabinetry, etc, and has been in the same family ever since.

I can't exactly say what my style is, but I know what I like. We're in a house that we've been in for almost 2 years, and I can't wait until we get the money to redecorate. Pretty much the only things that's changed is we put a ceiling fan in our bedroom. Eventually, I want to get new carpet throughout the house. I may have to go with the type of carpet, which comes in squares, and they just squeeze together. This may be an easier option until we can afford the real deal.
