When a large dog jumps up on you do you get nervous?  

i do get quite nervous of big dogs, they are really quite heavy and i'm quite small! especially as some of them are my height when they jump up, their face is right in front of mine lol. and their paws can hurt sometimes if their claws are quite sharp. i do love dogs though, but i prefer to have a smaller one myself.

To be honest, I'm used to big dogs jumping on me. I have a large dog, and he is quite strong. Anytime he gets excited and wants a hug, he'll jump in your lap (if you're sitting down) and wait for you to put your arms around him for a hug. If it makes you nervous, I would let your relatives know and maybe they can train the dog to wait until it's given a command to jump. It can be done- but it takes ton of hard work and patience.

Hi Apples99, I don't get afraid if a big dog jumps on me. I guess because i have 3 big dogs and one of mine is a pittbull and he is they same way. Everytime I walk in the house he jumps on me he gets so excited. So when i visit friends who have big dogs who jump I just pet them and play around with them until they walk away. I have always enjoyed dogs of all sizes.

I have to say I'm a dog freak. So if I came into a family or friend's home and their dog jumped on me, I'd embrave the big 'ol thing. I'd assume it wasn't harmful because I would hope my friend or family member would warn me first, lol. But if i were outside and I saw a rottweiler or Pit Bull coming at me...I've had big dogs sneak up on me and jump on me, and I wasn't afraid. But even though I think the owner is what makes the dog, if I saw an unknown Rottweiler or Pitt Bull coming at me, I'd high tail it!

Yes!... I love puppies, but adult dogs i don't like, because i have a traumatic experienced when i was a child that i could never forget until now. I was bitten by a large dog and now if i walk in the street when i see dogs i am conscious. as if it will bite me.

Well... I do really get nervous for the dogs that is quite big but a little for normal-size dogs :P Although I have a big heavy dog (Dalmatian), who can simply knock me while pulling his line that is connected to his collar, I am still afraid of dogs. I am afraid to dogs I don't know.

Haha, I guess most dogs are lively but when just come across a huge dog that jumps up on you I believe most of the common person do get nerous or scared. For it is really a huge stuff and it can also thread your security.
