Do you think about what you are going to say before you post your responses? email this discussion to a friend?

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)5 months ago

Hi all:
I am just curious if you have to think about what you are going to post, or does it comes easy to you?
With me, it pretty much comes easy as I think about what I am going to say as I am posting my respones. It just flows on the page, and before I realize it, I have posted and posted, and it was a very long one, that I got to thinking that maybe the one reading it will get so tired of me rambling on, they will just stop reading and comment to it. lol I do have a tendency to ramble ou but I want to be able to express the way I am feeling no matter how long it is. I don't usually start discusssons because it does take time to think of a topic, but with this one, I thought it would be interesting to see what others do when they respond. I don't even use the copy and paste feature, even though I know I can. I guess tome it is just the easy way out and I want to be able to put my thoughts down and not others. So, feel free to share your thougsht on this. Happy mylotting. happy

There are times when responding back to a discussion that I will sit and think about what I am going to say and try and organize my thoughts a little before hand, but from the most part I would say overall I just sit here and post if a discussion looks worthwhile to respond back too, and then hope for the Best from there.

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  5 months ago

I do that as well, as I want to make sure that I stick to the topic and give my views that will help them if they are needing help. Most of the time, I will just start responding and think about what I want to say as I go. Thank you for your resonse, and happy mylooting. happy

myLot reputation of 97/100. KrauseHome (13462)  3 months ago

Yes, when it is something I feel knowledgeable enough about I will just go in and respond. Especially when it is myLot related since I have been here for so long.

I do pause for a while and think about my responses to a discussion. I would try to find words that would fit, so I won't keep on ranting or babbling until I find the right words to say.

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  5 months ago

I agree with you, as it is very easy to ramble on as I have done it, and sometimes I think about the one reading it if they will get tired of my rambling. lol I would have to say though, I don't do that often, as I usually have very good points to say, so I say them and sometimes my responses become long windded. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

Actually I just type what comes into my head. Sometimes though, I'll read the topic, go take a shower or something and think about it but then it ends up all jumbled up while I'm trying to get it all out.

I think while I am posting, as sometimes, I don know exactly what I want to say, and other times it just flows. I think too, it all depends on the discussion and if it relly relates to my situation or not. It is easy to just let it flow and not have to think abou it as much. happy mylotting. happy

Dear Rosekiss,

This is a wonderful topic of discussion where we can
share our thoughts and style of responding.. thumbup

Some topics of my interest like travelling, food, family is
quite good for me because the ideas will just flow as I response,
it sometimes ended up in paragraphs. However, some of myLotters
friends topic need a lot of thinking which I am not so familiar
with, I wanted to support my friend's topic, so, I will think first
and response...at times I KIV it and came back later when ideas came...

But some topic I really no nothing about it, which I can't help
at all, I will skip and approach another topic by the same myLotter.

All the best and do keep in touch!

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  4 months ago

I agree with you. It is really easy to just let the resoonse flow, when the disucssion is one that I can relate to, but if it isn't, then it does take me time to come up with something to say. That is basically why I pick the discussions that really inerest me so I don't have to think all that much about what W want to say. Thank you for you rresonse, and happy mylotting. happy

Well pretty much I think about what I'm going to say and there are even times I re-edit or reorganize a response before posting. There are definitely times I have to sit down and do it right the first time due to the fact there is a lot to say (really "type" of course) depending on the topic.

I believe I can understand about the length issue and non-reading issue Rosekiss, as I have plenty of examples to choose from and I wonder if they are really read or not. I think I'll post an example just in case you want to see for yourself.

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  4 months ago

I have done that too, as I will start tyoping a response, and then I realize that I really didn't want to post what I did, so I then will start over. I have accidentally deleted my post before I submitted it, and I never intended to do it, but then again, maybe it was meant to be. lol I usually just start tping as the words will just flow onto the page, so then I just keep posting, and I do read it as I am doing it, so that it says what I mean for it to. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

I am very well knowledgeable with a particular discussion or topic, thoughts flow easily on my mind and I can type it here as much as I think. However, if it's very complicated and personal, I think about what I am going to say first as I don't want to be misinterpreted by what I am going to say. Copy and paste does not work on my end? How many post do I need before I can get it to work?

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  3 months ago

As far as copy and pasting is concerned, you can use that features when you reach 200 posts, so you don't have far to go to use it. I am like you, basically dideas just seem to flow, and I am glad for that, as if I had to think about what to say like I would when I start a discussion, I wouldn't get much done. I don't try to push me much myself though, as I just do what I can while I am here. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

myLot reputation of 83/100. NurseMathilda (175)  3 months ago

Thank you for sharing and answering my question about the copy and paste feature. I'm really having a big deal not being able to use that feature since sometimes my Internet hangs and my responses is gone whenever I try to refresh the page. Bad connection due to Ondoy and Pepeng! Anyway, I hope to read more topics and discussions from you.:)

SHouldn't it be a must? I think all of us have to think before what we are going to post or say, whether here in mylot or somewhere else. Sadly though, some people just have not been able to master this technique and it actually results to a lot of misunderstanding or disagreement. glare

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  3 months ago

I can agree with you on that one. I do think what I am going to say while I am typing. It is much easier to come up with ideas rather than starting a discussion. I really don't write anything down before I post though. I might start that sometime, but you know I don't basically, because I never know what discussions I will be posting to and what the topic will be, until I get to the discussion. I am just gald I found mylot and can share with others. thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

iam very much the same. its like im talking to friends when im here. i dont have any friends in real life and i've always been a big jabber mouth so i think thats probably the reason for it. actually sometimes even after i post it, i think of other things i could have saidshockedlol

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  3 months ago

I don't have friends in real life either, so coming in here and sharing with my frineds in here is the best thing that I can do. I can talk a lot too, from what my kids tell me. w00t They hate the fact I will tell my life's story to total strangers, but that is the way I am. thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

hi rosekiss!
for me it depends on the topic.if its something close to my heart the words would come easier than others of my interest.i may put in a little efforts for the other ones so that i am able to represent my thoughts in the best possible way.

myLot reputation of 98/100. rosekiss (4399)  3 months ago

I agree with you as there are some topics that are harder to come up with the thoughts I want to express. When I find a topic that really interst me though, I can just speak my mind very easily. It just depends on the situation, and what is being discussed. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting. happy

I just write what's in my brain. It just kind of comes out on it's own. My biggest thing is trying to keep my fingers going as fast as the thoughts come out of my head.

It does for the most part for mw as well, unless I can't think of anything to say, and then I will just sit here and let it come out. That is basically the discussions that are harder to share my views. Otherwise, I can share just like that. I just love sharing my views, as we all have different views, that is for sure. Thank you for your respoonse, and happy mylotting. happy
