Do you think about what you are going to say before you post your responses? |
|
Hi all: I am just curious if you have to think about what you are going to post, or does it comes easy to you? With me, it pretty much comes easy as I think about what I am going to say as I am posting my respones. It just flows on the page, and before I realize it, I have posted and posted, and it was a very long one, that I got to thinking that maybe the one reading it will get so tired of me rambling on, they will just stop reading and comment to it. I do have a tendency to ramble ou but I want to be able to express the way I am feeling no matter how long it is. I don't usually start discusssons because it does take time to think of a topic, but with this one, I thought it would be interesting to see what others do when they respond. I don't even use the copy and paste feature, even though I know I can. I guess tome it is just the easy way out and I want to be able to put my thoughts down and not others. So, feel free to share your thougsht on this. Happy mylotting.

1. KrauseHome (13462) | 5 months ago | There are times when responding back to a discussion that I will sit and think about what I am going to say and try and organize my thoughts a little before hand, but from the most part I would say overall I just sit here and post if a discussion looks worthwhile to respond back too, and then hope for the Best from there.

| 2. MLeula (30) | 5 months ago | I do pause for a while and think about my responses to a discussion. I would try to find words that would fit, so I won't keep on ranting or babbling until I find the right words to say.

3. twoey68 (9663) | 4 months ago | Actually I just type what comes into my head. Sometimes though, I'll read the topic, go take a shower or something and think about it but then it ends up all jumbled up while I'm trying to get it all out.

4. Iriene88 (1181) | 4 months ago | Dear Rosekiss,
This is a wonderful topic of discussion where we can share our thoughts and style of responding..
Some topics of my interest like travelling, food, family is quite good for me because the ideas will just flow as I response, it sometimes ended up in paragraphs. However, some of myLotters friends topic need a lot of thinking which I am not so familiar with, I wanted to support my friend's topic, so, I will think first and response...at times I KIV it and came back later when ideas came...
But some topic I really no nothing about it, which I can't help at all, I will skip and approach another topic by the same myLotter.
All the best and do keep in touch!

5. theprogamer (7518) | 4 months ago | Well pretty much I think about what I'm going to say and there are even times I re-edit or reorganize a response before posting. There are definitely times I have to sit down and do it right the first time due to the fact there is a lot to say (really "type" of course) depending on the topic.
I believe I can understand about the length issue and non-reading issue Rosekiss, as I have plenty of examples to choose from and I wonder if they are really read or not. I think I'll post an example just in case you want to see for yourself.

rosekiss (4399) | 4 months ago | I have done that too, as I will start tyoping a response, and then I realize that I really didn't want to post what I did, so I then will start over. I have accidentally deleted my post before I submitted it, and I never intended to do it, but then again, maybe it was meant to be. I usually just start tping as the words will just flow onto the page, so then I just keep posting, and I do read it as I am doing it, so that it says what I mean for it to. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

6. NurseMathilda (175) | 3 months ago | I am very well knowledgeable with a particular discussion or topic, thoughts flow easily on my mind and I can type it here as much as I think. However, if it's very complicated and personal, I think about what I am going to say first as I don't want to be misinterpreted by what I am going to say. Copy and paste does not work on my end? How many post do I need before I can get it to work?

NurseMathilda (175) | 3 months ago | Thank you for sharing and answering my question about the copy and paste feature. I'm really having a big deal not being able to use that feature since sometimes my Internet hangs and my responses is gone whenever I try to refresh the page. Bad connection due to Ondoy and Pepeng! Anyway, I hope to read more topics and discussions from you.:)
