Sometimes, it amazes me what people can do in the name of beauty. I read about this clinic in Russia that offers leg lengthening surgery. That must hurt a lot. Read the article here: http://www.pinkhues.com/2009/08/06/increase-height-surgery/

I have heard of someone having this kind of surgery done before and I have tears in my eyes at the mere thought! That would be extremely painful I would imagine. I am only five feet two inches which is not overly tall and, although I wish my legs were longer I certainly would not consider such an operation. I guess it depends on how much the problem upsets a person as to how far the individual would go to rectify it. Personally I will keep what God gave me and focus on my health more so than how I look. As I have grown older it has become a lot easier to change my priorities.

I agree this does seem painful, but being a person who is very short myslef and having all the problems associated with that, there are times when I would like to have longer legs (and arms), not for the sake of beauty but just for practical reasons. Having fibromyalgia is a very painful muscle condition where almsot everything you do hurts and when you are short, those extra reaches and stretches cause even more pain. I know this discussion is focusing on the beauty aspect, but for me it would be more helpful to be taller from a practical standpoint.

I try mainly the natural things because I cannot afford to have any kind of procedures done. I would like to have a few things done but it is not a priority for me. I think we all need something done but it is expensive.

there are really a lot of people who do a lot of crazy and wild things just for beauty, while whats important is the beauty inside. the link you showd really looks like it hurts. i wont do anything like that even i have money. i would buy fruits and natural ways to make me beautiful. its good for the body and good for the pocket as well. lol.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So they say, but to beauty-conscious women, it's not. Otherwise why would they go for makeovers or cosmetic surgeries that cost thousands? Humans are never satisfied with what they have; they keep wanting more. They've money, but they want more money. They've a normal body, normal face, normal teeth, normal everything, but they want to be super-normal by doing through numerous surgeries to get that perfect look. Ya, it's their right to do it; it's their wish but it surely shows that some of us (maybe many) are not satisfied with who we are. We want to be a different person to impress others.
