Can you say NO?

Sometimes its hard to say no. For me, the problem is I daydream sometimes and just answer "mmhmm" to anything people say and had "mmhmm"ed myself into some pretty annoying tasks.

I have one friend who gives a lot and is a good friend but since splitting with her partner has reuired more of my time and support than normal.
However 4 months on and its still the same and I am having to find myself saying no sometimes to going round in the evening to keep her company because it was getting to be most nights and I seriously feared for my own relationship for me i can say no only if me saying yes will cause me a big problem otherwise im pretty happy to say yes most of the time.

Well. That depends on the situation. By the way- Nice Question. Saying no means you GIVE UP, but while still don't want to say NO, that means you are stubborn. But yes, I prefer saying NO sometimes.

hmm this is quite difficult according to me..i really cant utter the word "NO" directly..it seems quite harsh to me..if some of my close friends asks me a favour but i am in no mood i still can never say no..its close to impossible to me...though i feel reluctant and feel stupid later but i can never say no..not possible

I find it rather difficult to say to people,I find myself in very deep problems for this every now and then.Now i have learned to say NO to some people right away.I have realized that if you don't say no because you don't want to be rude ..you will eventually find your self in a big mess and may be you will hurt that person even more than you would have done if you have said no straight away..

telling no is not easy one bt smtimes circumstances make it ............

Sometimes it is really very hard to say NO to a person because at many such cases we have got some sentiments involved with that situation or we know that person very well and he had already helped us before.

For eg, as you know when we go to canteen to eat patties, some very poor beggars normally begs in front of us and in 70% of the cases we refuse them. But that refusal is not very easy for me. The reason for that is I do feel sorry at their conditions so I want to give them but can't as they asks daily and we think that if we give them money daily we would come at their places. LOL.

For another situation, my cousin brother who is very soft spoken and helped me before many a times is in need of my pendrive a few days ago. I got in to a dilemma kind of situation because I need that pendrive the next day but I could not refuse him and gave him the pendrive.

In other case, while attending our classes many of my friends normally asks me to leave the classes and go to a friend to play cricket (I think you know who they are) and because I am a die hard fan of cricket, I cant say NO to them. HEHEHEHE!!! LOL, LOL.

It is quite difficult to say no any person and it became more tedious once you know the person or person is near to your heart. For me it is really difficult in some cases. I have a group of friends, we are playing toghther from a long time at a place near my house. Sometimes I wants to refuse them but I can not. I would not want to heart their feeling.

Yeah, that`s right. I also find it difficult to say NO straightaway even if i don`t want to say yes.
So, i generally take a middle road and i say, "I will try my best, but don`t be completely dependent on me, i may fail in what you seek from me". This is not as disheartening for the person as saying NO and not that degree of commitment as saying YES.

I think it depends on what is the question, if there are times that i want to say no and its really hard to say no i would rather just say it with a little joke.
