Newbies what do you think of the senior members here?

Diana, it has been a long journey here to reach where we are now. I don't understand why this lady is against us, the seniors. I see you have been so helpful to the newbies and welcoming them in the most honored manner and yet get this sort of treatment for unknown reasons. I don't know whether she is aware that all responses and discussions here are far reaching and can be viewed even by none members through google. She has not only degraded herself by posting an unintelligent response but also provoked anger among the seniors. She seems to be full of hate.

Yeah mysdi, I saw it in a discussion and told the poster that with an attitude like that, it really is no wonder many older users don't like newbs.

It seems she has now comtemplated and realised her mistake -and she has also apologised in her discussion

Every cloud has a silver lining and something good always comes out of every bad situation so I just persevere. It's rewarding too as so many users are now high flyers here

benefit of the doubt?

When I first came into myLot, several 'seniors' guide me through. I was really happy that the myLotters I came to know here are kind and helpful. My impression of this place is that everyone helps each other not only to earn but to enjoy being here. I disagree with the newbies having those kind of attitude. They should explore myLots more before making such statements. They are only ruining their own reputation.. too bad for those ppl..

yes yes.. I enjoy having the seniors in my friend list.. the way you guys responded to my discussions are just so marvellous.. it's ok if others don't like you, but I DO.. and I think most newbies do too! you guys has helped and guide a lot, and of course with the recent incident due to my earnings.. I am lucky to have someone to clarify for me..

You guys are just treasure like how I treasure my seniors at home and at work!

cwong, thanks for being appreciative of your seniors. Nothing gonna change the trend here. We all graduate from newbies to seniors and this is only possible with the help of the veteran mylotters. Happy mylotting.

anyways, if ever i would read those kind of comments i would also end up making this kind of discussion. seniors here also helped me alot... in so many many ways. that is why by now i am also helping out of what i have learned from my senior friends. i hope before they could come up with those kind of comments they must atleast explore what mylotting is all about and on how we deal and communicate with each other.

and Zandi my friend. this discussion helps alot. not just for us but for everybody else. a newbie or an oldie got the chance to know and be able to express what is truly to be said. and thanks for always helping out! the seniors are also still the best! you all help us out and guide us in many many ways there is. and now i have the chance to helped others out as well because i learned it from the best there is, the seniors!!!

Yes all is well again now. We all have a bad day once in a while and that can sometimes cause us to say things which we wouldn't usually say on a normal day. We sometimes say a harsh phrase which later we wish had never been pronounced, or as in this case, written. All is as it should be now

that is truly great my friend MysD... alls well that ends well... and i am glad it did!!! that is right, we had bad days and we are just simply humans tend to make many mistakes. an apology, a simple thanks from that apology is the best way for it! i am happy that it finish with a good splash!

Is this the longest comment thread ever?! Trolls do this kind of thing just to get rage going. Best thing is, ignore them - treat them as you would any other rock. Or anything that lives under one.

Hi everyone, I appreciate the lively discussions going on here. The dust has settled and everyone are all back to normal daily mylot life. There are certain times when we as humans are burdened with emotional baggage and mylot has become the emotional playground for many to vent their frustrations knowing that they are sympathetic souls to listen and motivate. It's an outlet that is meant for both newbies and seniors alike to mingle freely without barriers, no classifications of standard, without prejudices as we are like minded people who are here for the same purpose. Trolls are the only ugly humans who have behavioral disorder that often mar the good working relationship in mylot. Never mind about this minority as admin will handcuffed them on sight. Let us join hands and keep the spirit of mylot alive.

she does have a foul mouth. A person of this character does not fit to be in mylot. She should be aware of the repercussion of her actions and deserve to be given a stern warning. The long service members are here to stay and are considered to be the pillars of this site.

anyways, its hard to know the true mylotters. but the old ones always stay and keeps on mylotting. help whenever needed and just have total fun with everybdy else.

hope newbies just read more about the guidelines and GAQs of mylot. though i might still find it hard to keep everything in mind, i never got doubts to ask some more guidelines from the seniors!!!

Hi jheLaichie, As a senior yourself it is only fair that we guide the newbies to gain as much information as possible so they can perform at ease.

Hi neelianoscet, new or old we are all the same and the only difference is I joined in earlier and stayed on to meet many newcomers to mylot. No, I don't agree with you that senior members are more intelligent. The newbies are good if not better when it comes to good intelligent discussions. But the only thing is some of them ignore the guidelines and simply post disregarding the rules of this place. I hope in time to come these newbies will turn into new leaves and mellow down a bit and there is no point of always going against the grains as we meet here most of the days. We must play according to the games of mylot and be very careful of what we say lest it might hurt others and land us in hot soup.

I think we all need to be respectful of one another, whether you're a newbie, a senior. I've always believed that everyone regardless of their age, can learn a thing or two from someone whether they are older or younger. If we all treat each other with dignity and respect, then we can all learn from one another and become better people. I've learned things from my children and I've even learned things from my grandchildren. I'm looking forward to learning things in MyLot.com, from anyone and everyone, regardless of whether they're a newbie or a senior. You're never too old or too young to learn.

You should be in the senior category as you have good enough figures by the side of your name to warrant you to be called a senior member here. Well, since I don't see you posting often, what ever I can get hold of your discussion I will come to it. Definitely no one is at liberty to downgrade anyone here. We should strive to make this place peaceful and enjoyable so everyone will be happy mylotting and at the same instance foster new friendships.

jshekhar hello friend. you are one of the great mylotters though you are like me. just a newbie by heart because we havent been here that long. but with the time, effort and posts we already have i guess we are consider seniors mylotters... but the whatever we are, as long as we mylot with respect to each one of our fellow mylotters. then you are one of the great mylotters of all time.

well she wrote something that is really hurting especially to us who have been active members here for so long. The words she wrote were not pleasing to the ears and this has waken the sleeping tiger in me to pounce on her to make her realize that we are still worthy to be part of this prestigious site even though we maybe considered old horses and fit to be pensioned off but still we need the courtesy of being recognized as good old lotters and not being rudely dumped like fallen heroes.

forgive and forget. someone apologies and we accepted that apology. again that ends well for all of us mylotters... and thats the best way to do it. ignore and forget the worng things that has been made. and just enjoy mylotting again.

Moreover, I felt it speaks of a bit of immature behaviour on the part of the person who posted such a rude remark.I normally find it slightly childish to go after people and show petty jealousies in a forum where we are just friends and do not even see each other.These people a re unable to enjoy simple friendship and it is pathetic.When we stay away totally, it is total peace.THat is what I w as writing in another discussion too.I am honestly totally unaware of all this.aNYHOW It is one big revelation as to how people can behave even in such forums.Strange!

It is different with me, when am challenged I can rise up to the occasion to prove the right from wrong.

After reading from her counter comments, I can roughly guess she is in trouble personally with someone in mylot and she threw her tantrum on the screen for everyone to read. Too bad she is grossly misunderstood. But she is here to explain. I will come to her response in a short while.

Let her open her heart out, she might have written those comments, due to some provokation. If possible, please send me the link of the discussion please.

Of course no one is above anyone here. We are all equals having the same mission in mylot. Since a newbie have uttered unkind remarks towards the older members here it is only fair that I highlight this as not to cause further confusion and division between the old and the new.
