Have this ever occurred to you? If you authorize a real estate agent to represent you, to look for some available houses for you. The agent show a house which you like it so much. Later, you found out that house was owned by that agent who put it on the market for sell. Don't you feel that situation kind of funny, awkward? The agent earning both side of money. Don't you think that is conflict of interest? You absolutely have the right to find another agent to represent you.

Yes, of course that is a conflict of interest. Where I live - and I'm sure anywhere else too - real estate agents must declare that they are an agent when they are selling their own property. The seller of the first house I ever bought was an agent. She did not represent me. I had my own representative from another agency but obviously she was representing herself in the transaction. In the legal documentation she had to declare that she was a real estate agent.

well, that is something I never aware of. Now, it is good to know something from the real estate. Thanks for your response!

You're very welcome! I didn't know right away but, once we got further into the offer process, she had to make her declaration official. I imagine it could cause further professional problems if an agent didn't declare and it was found out after the fact, too.

Really clorissa dear I know it's nice for you too look but I really hope you are taking a companion with you, you really don't know what could be inside these strange houses and they could be harbouring germs so make sure you remember your gloves dear. But just look for now until you find the right, nice young man, but he's bound to let you choose anyway, now don't forget about the gloves dear.
