Children now days are still in the stages where they are conscious to know the right and wrong conduct to do and act. many parents want their kids to grow as morally upright that they have to remind their children not only once but sometimes daily reminders to children to follow morals values. At a young ages, most children could start to absorb the things you taught about the proper ways to acts, say things that is moral values and the way to talk to people with respect. Children mind are like sponges that could hold as much liquid as they can. Do you believe it is nice to taught children values as young ages or you prefer to teach them morals values when they grow up? What kind of morals values are you going to taught to your children?

Yes, I believe we should teach our children
how to act with moral values. If we do not
not they will take up any way of acting that
they are around. If we do not teach them they
have nothing to base good conduct on. I think
this is a must.
Have a blessed day.

it is really important to teach children morals values and to demonstrate what we mean and explain it fully..learn to lead them and live by examples.

Hi neelianoscet,
Children are learning the moral values by themselves from the home itself. Home is the first educational institution and kids are eagerly noticing what is going on at home. So teaching moral values theoretically is little difficult if the home is not based on it. For example if we teach the children, telling lies are not good and be honest always. But I am sure grown ups at home are telling lies sometimes; I agree it may not be harmful, but the kids are noticing the same and they definitely learn quickly the practical thing than the theoretical one. So in my opinion we have to make the home atmosphere a pleasant one and giving importance to hold up the moral values in the home itself.
Teaching moral values can easily be done by telling stories which has some moral values. Kids are very fond of stories they are happy to enjoy the stories and at the same time can learn some moral values too.

Giving examples from what we says to children and not just a mere talk is sufficient to clarify the confusion face by children when they are asking questions. it is good for parents to always prepare an answer to every children questions. As you says live by examples by showing we really mean every word that comes out in our mouth. Then, to prove that we are morally uptight. Their is a need for parents to differentiate the morals values from immoral things. So that when children becomes adult they will never astray but instead take in the good path..

Yes. I think morals and valuies definitely need to be taught to our children. They need to learn how to have respect for themselves and for others. We need to teach them also the value of earning a living and that life is not always about the material things.

Morals is synonymously to having a good attitude and proper conduct, if a child is nurture to learn it when they are still young. They could maintain those morals values and help to be good citizen of the country and not a burden to their parents and to the society.

By the time kids grow up, it's too late to start trying to teach them then. When they are grown, they feel like its time to teach you.
Children are smart. Start teaching them while they are young, and they will grow into responsible adults.

Children need a lot of teachings about different values like respect to the elderly and to other people, courtesy, obedient, kindness, being cooperative, being industrious, friendly and know to pray and believe in God. I believe too many children ask a lot of question and very curios to know everything. It is nice to implant in their mind the beauty of being morally uptight and traditional upbringing as what you say children are smart. As i observe many children of today's generation are more advanced in terms of technology, but should not be a hindrance to know the truth about morals values and what benefit she could gain from it..

It is also important to learn from trial and errors. Children have a very high inquisitive mind always seeking to explore everything. It is good to train them with good morals values as they will carry this good attitude throughout their entire life to serve as guide to block bad influences from peers..

What kind? The good kind of course.
I agree that children are like sponges. Everything is new to them after all and they're learning about the world by their own, through the help of elders of course. But the thing with this is that it is up to the elders to teach them the right kind of morals and values, not only in words but also in actions. Children also learn by example. They usually mimic what they see in everything. Though it may be advisable to expose them to the world, still it would be up to the parents or those that surround them to moderate what kind of content their children are getting. If the children already have absorbed some negative things, its best to teach them or explain to them why such actions should not be done, or why other people do it like what they have seen/heard.
It's always to start teaching them young. This would help them grow into better people when they're old enough to think and act by their own.

yeah, and the adults should be the main role models as thy already experience life at its worst and at best. Then, is good for children to learn to follow their parents advices that when they grow old they would not find it hard to act independent as they are already been train to become responsible starting at a young age where they could be easily motivated. Just like you mention children mimic what they see even though they may end up as right or wrong. Unless they become so engrossed with their lives that they would find it unsuitable to motivate children when they are already expose to the bad elements. thanks for your response..
