Do You Namedrop?  

oh if see someone famous i do drop names. i met roy roger once, seen the pope the one before one now. seen Dic* clark once, big show the wrestler, and a few other people

Hey Shepherd I have only met a few famous people a few of the Kenndys an I know by doing our family tree I am related to Madonna an celine dion an the dionne quints on my mom side an Daniel boone an my hubby's side but no i don't name drop lol I dont know them so why bother my grandma met Celine once an she sang power of love to my nana in vagas which I thought was cool

I have been known to name drop - when I think the person I'm talking to kind of has it coming. But the BEST time I name dropped was the time I didn't realize I was name dropping all over the person I was talking to.

She mentioned that she knew someone I had gone to school with. So, I asked her if she'd seen her lately and if she also knew several others I had gone to the same school with. Turned out she knew who they were, but didn't know them and I had just name dropped all over her - innocently, she didn't like me much after that...

I do not like to brag in case I have a famous relatives. I let the person whom I am talking discover it, in case i am always seen beside this famous person. It is obvious she may recognize me too. I do not need too much explanation and I know myself limit in this kind of situation. Unless she ask I may tell her so. But, if she seem not to know, i do not bother to tell her. I do ot like to be popular for using other person to give me publicity. i love to live a normal life and be happy as I am. I love privacy and I do not like myself to be involve in any person limelight in order to make myself famous, too..If I am going to be famous, I make sure that i leave a mark that is entirely genuine from my own effort and not relying on the efforts of other people..

I only namedrop the name of GOD who is my maker. He is the only one who can fight all my enemies on my behalf.

you know i know people like that that brag about how many rich people they know,how many famous people they've met and it gets on my nerves. but you have also made me realise im guilty myself and i never knew that till now you see, i used to work for/take care of one of the main microsoft developers father so there.

I casually say I met someone famous but who I don't really like while I'm usually overexcited telling I met my favorite artist. As for someone famous related to me, that is probably yet to happen or may never happen but I wouldn't be bragging, I am just always proud when someone from the family achieves something.

I can never really tell when someone tries to impress me by telling such stuffs if they're talking about famous people I don't really care about because most of the time I wouldn't bother listening to their stories. But if they're telling stuffs about my favorite artists and they knew they are my favorites, I can immediately tell a 'he' is trying to impress me, while a 'she' wants me to feel jealous.
