How well do you look after your nuts?

You're most welcome Dawn. It's such an important issue and to be able to stress the merits of nut care with my fellow mylotters is an absolute pleasure for me. And yes, nut cases are equally as crucial and we should do all we can to not just look after them, but nurture and inspire them as well.

You need to be very careful with your nuts when they're near tiles Gary! One set of hands handling your nuts is more than likely the case for many I reckon, but it can be of benefit to occasionally allow others to handle your nuts too. Just make sure that they are aware of proper nut etiquette first though! I suppose we could cache our nuts as well, but I wouldn't really recommend it because they're not so easily accessible if we do this. Seeing as we're heading down the song path here, I suppose Nutbush City Limits should be thrown into the ring too yes?

I wholeheartedly agree! Nut cracking should be limited to ballet I reckon and preferably only in a suite.

Now don't get me into the difference between suite nuts and salty nuts!

The main difference I guess is that you can eat salty nuts in a suite, but can you eat suite nuts somewhere salty? I suppose you could eat them on a beach? Oh, well there isn't a difference along those lines at all then.

I'm impressed Mykl, I must say! Such due care attention to your nuts is commendable and you've certainly set a standard for others to follow. Affection is such an important aspect too and I'm glad you added this reference. Shame on me for not including it myself! Nuts respond SO well to affection and they deserve it too.

I'm very relieved to be hearing this! It seems there are more "nut savvy" people here than I originally thought.

oh, i'm very "nut savvy"...you can ask DJ next week, ya know, since i'm sure i'll be handling his nuts while i'm there.

Just make sure you store them correctly when they're not in use. The last thing you need is for them to be going stale or have them end up with ants on them or something! Many people swear by Tupperware, but I find lycra or spandex is also very effective.

regular old cotton works well for storing them also...it absorbs any excess moisture.

It's a good thing they come in pairs then isn't it?

They're here Alice and always will be. We just tend to become increasingly oblivious to them as our own nuttiness grows.

I NEVER go off topic Sandra, never! lol. Brazilianophobia definitely has waxing connotations to it I feel, but nut waxing could fall under this context still. Almonds while they're still on the tree have a casing that could do with a good wax! Try and keep those nits away from the nuts too if you can, they really don't go too well together.

Watch him and learn LittleMel, watch him closely too! Nut care is arguably an artform and it sounds like your Hub's is up there with the best of 'em! Nuts deserve nothing less than our utmost love and respect and we should always remember this.

If I was your Hubby, that nutcracker would mysteriously vanish! lol. It's perfectly understandable that you'd be protective of your nuts like this because most of us are the same way. Sure, not everyone's prepared to admit this, but we all know the truth here. Mylot can be a nut factory too I reckon and don't we just love it! lol.
