Would you help an accident victim? | | Stranger things have happened and I have this question to ask. If you were driving on the highway and see an accident, with a victim lying in a pool of blood, would you stop and help him/her to a hospital or call for an ambulance?

If they are concious you can talk to them to keep them concious and find out if they remember what happened. You can apply basic first aid to stop any bleeding and pass on any vital information to the paramedics. It would be wrong to move them or take them to hospital in case you caused further injury/trauma or increased the blood loss. Having been in this situation once, I stayed with the casualties until the ambulance arrived as you can re assure them and comfort them, even if you can't physically do anything to help them.

Frankly, you said a victim lying in a pool of blood, you must find his artery and block up bleed, if he loses too much blood, anyone or god can't help him.
Thanks for your question about the accident.

suchi60 (385) | 4 months ago | The only way we can help the victim is to do what best we can in the situation. I don't think we'll think of being sued at that moment, but hink instead of ways to help the victim. Others may come later but not then.

I do know better than to move him/her unless it's absolutely necessary for safety but that doesn't mean that I can't make an attempt to stop/slow down bleeding and give comfort to the injured person.
