Do you think robot cars reduce accidents ?  

Yes i think it would be ok if a programmed robot will drive our cars as well!!i think it cna be a good issue to prevent many cars accidents and so you know a human can be wron when drives but a machine can be done only that one it was programmed for..so i think it cna bea good innovation and even will save some lives on the road!!waiting for those cars!!

Sounds good to me. I forgot to get my driver license renewed.
Good chance I don't have one anymore. If you are late renewing, you have to do the drivers test over again. I have had my licence for over 22 years. I have my own way of driving, I will never pass that test.
It is also to expensive. I don't have a car anymore anyway.
But if you are right, than I don't need one for a normal car anymore.
I will just need a robot car.

I think they might be able to help in regular navigational purposes on road in future because as on today, the vision sensing capacity of robots is not even half as advanced as that of a human being and implementing it in real life situations is probably atleast five years away. But we know that science and technology is capable of wonders and I wont be surprised if it is achieved within a lesser time. They will probably reduce the number of accidents, because of enhanced computational speed and absence of fatigue, human errors and reduced reaction time. But in the conditions which exist in a city during heavy traffic, human judgment and skill might be superior.

I can't picture a car driving itself. That sounds like something out of a science fiction movie. Of course, yesterday's science fiction is today's science fact so anything is possible. The car itself might be able to keep from getting into an accident, but I don't know that it could prevent any other accident's from happening. In fact, it could cause other accidents to happen because people in other vehicles would see that there is no driver in the vehicle and freak out. It would be nice to have that kind of thing if you are on a long road trip, but I think that you would want to have some control over the vehicle to keep everyone else safe.

the robot car sounds to be good but each and every thing is made by human mind. As of now the technology has not yet grown to that level that robot can do everything in driving. But it might be a start so let welcome the next generation technologies. for me still believe my own efforts in driving the car

I don't even know how to drive but I would say that these robot cars are probably a very good idea. I love technology and I'm thinking if these cars are going to reduce accidents then they should be brought out onto the market at the earliest convenience! I remember hearing something about this on one of the science channels and I remember being amazed! I think that these cars will sell like hot cakes once they are displayed in car showrooms. Andrew

I think that in the future robot cars will help reduce the amount of accidents that are on the road but there cars have to be equipped with all of the newest features that will be able to know when a car is in front of,behind or on the side of the robot car. There will have to be a sensor or something that will be able to tell the speed of the other cars so that the robot car can adjust accordingly.

what i feel is when we can think of making a robot which can drive with out accident why not we ourself drive safe way. most of the accidents happen because of drunk and drive. so we realize our mistakes we ourself can reduce the accidents. but let the technology grow but we should know how to drive safe only then we can program a robot to drive safe without accident.

I think Robot cas can reduce fatal accidents because robots are programmed machineries. They need instructions and programmers to carry out the work. Furthermore, responses from robots are slow unlike humans who can make harsh and daring irrational decisions such as beting the traffic lights. There are many other aspects that robots do differently. Its the way they are programmed which makes it safe.

I cannot see them being any better than humans unless the human is under the influence. One thing goes wrong with the mechanism and we could be dead as hitting a drunk driver head on.But to robot doing it instead. I hate to drive since my accident ,but doubt the robot would listen to my requests on how to drive. I will stick to letting my friends or hubby driving me when ,I am uncomfortable with the road.
