This is a shot of a days pickings from my yellow pear tomato plant.
There are more but they were in the sink to be washed off.
I love these kind of tomatoes. First time growing them and they did well. So how are your tomatoes/garden doing this year?

Your tomatoes are yellow? I have never seen yellow pear tomatoes before. Are the delicious? I have grown Cherry Tomatoes before and they are small and cute but not much taste in it. The big variety are better in taste which I grew often. Can these be gtrown in tropical climates? Anyway, I don't think it's available in Asian countries coz I really have not seen them before.

I have a lot of cherry tomato plants as well. Those I use in salads as there's no cutting/slicing needed. This was my first time seeing and growing yellow pears. They are great. No idea if they's grow in a tropical enviroment.

Then the next thing I should do is to look for those wonderful yellow tomatoes in nurseries and supermarkets. Honestly I can't recall at all if I have seen any of these around. Maybe I will ask for some help. Thanks guys and Grandpa!

My yellow pear tomatos usually do quite well. I origionally got them because red were too acidic at times for my hubby.
The kids are certainly gobbling them up. That's why I have like 15 plants, til they are all ripening @ the same time almost none make it into the house ;0)

I hope you'll try them next year too. Just don't do the yellow slicing sized ones... I have not had any luck with those.

That's a nice batch of tomatoes, Grandpa Bob. Are you and your wife planning on freezing or canning this year with so many? My garden, as usual, is doing awesome. My daughter planted onions and sweet corn and we are surprised at the outcome. I have a big basket of onions sitting in the kitchen and over 5 dozen ears of sweetcorn already processed and in the freezer with more yet to come. Only 3 green bean plants yet they are yielding as if I plant 6. I have one cherry tomatoe even though I know I planted 2. Have no clue where the other one went to unless it got choked out by all the other tomatoes being I plant them close together to choke out the weeds.

i have been away from home quite a lot,and was pleased to discover, although the plants had grown all over the place and needed de-leafing and re-staking, i had quite a decent crop of tomatoes coming along. I had the old favourite Ailsa Craig, but also tried 'tumbler' which is a small tomato especially for containers. Also another new, to me, type, 'tomato sungold' This one is a true gold/yellow, not red, but they are really tasty. So definitely will be growing them again next year.

I have tomatoes and peppers and they are doing really well. I have set up just a small bed for a few plants. Also, basil in and among the others. I bought a plant that was supposed to be Roma, and it has yellow pear tomatoes, which is okay, but I already had two more. I have nice round yellow tomatoes as well, and several kinds of red. Cherry tomatoes on up. Yummy.

Our garden did not do too well this year. We have had alot of rain. Our tomatoe plants look really good and we have lots of green tomatoes on there but hardly ever get a ripe one. I hope to have better luck with it next year.

My one potted cherry tomato is doing ok but the "regular" ones in the ground are still very small and green.
