I think Hannibal Lecter's in Silence of The Lambs is the best villain ever made. He's not wearing any mask when he abduct people, killing with cold blood, very smart that he can twist everything you say, plus he has an evil face yet you cannot even blink when you stare him. I pick him cause he seems so real and not some kind of character like Freddy Krueger, Jason, or Jigsaw. I also really like Kathy Bates character in Misery (I think her name is Annie). She torture people like crazy, I always cringe everytime the scene when he hit the writer's foot with brick (I think it's brick right? Kinda forget what it is). I'm sure don't wanna be found deserted and taken care by this kind of nurse lol. So who do you think is the best villain? What do you like from them?

I belive that Hammibial Lecter was chosen as the best movie viallian of all time. I would say it is a favorite of mine too. The thing I like about him is that he is so clever and intelligent. he has such a billrent mind that it enable him to get away from the autuities for so long.

Yes, it was chosen by American Film Institute to be the best villain ever in movie. The fact that he actually only shown in no longer than 30 minutes in Silence of The Lamb made you realize the character must be really special to be chosen as the best villain. I salute Anthony Hopkins for portraying the character marvelously, it's definitely his best acting ever in a movie

I agree with you, sophhisticated_boy! Hannibal Lecter is surely one of the best villain ever! However, I also like Bullseye in Daredevil, Damien Omen in The Omen (the 1976 one) and also Ralph Fiennes' character in Schindler's List (I forgot his character name). Like you said, they all look so real!

Damien in The Omen was definetly the scariest child to date in movies, he can control other people mind, even animals scared by him, as seen on the zoo scene. Ralph Fiennes has soft side inside of his evil act since he fall in love with one of the Jews. Thanks for the response eltobh!

Hi sophisticated boy, now I always prefer a good villain to the good guys, their characters have so much more depth somehow. My favourite actor James Woods plays villians in a most excellent fashion, he was rather compelling as Cohn in Citizen Cohn, a true story, and as Max in the amazing file 'Once Upon a time in America', where he played a first rate villain in the gangster mode.

I would have to say my favorite villian ever is the Joker from the movie 'The Dark Knight' because he seemed soo realistic. I loved how ruthless he was and how incredibly twisted and he was very intelligent and knew how to manipulate people. He was an absolute masterpeice of evil and I don't think anyone can top him.

I agree I agree! He is very intelligent in playing people's mind. He can twist situation from bad to good as seen on the interrogation room. He's also a very great planner and already think cause and effect when doing something, that's why he always been one step ahead of his enemies. I think we see the common similar things from Hannibal Lecter and Joker, they are playing with psychological effect on people's mind, which is more effective than just killing everybody in the movie to create horror.
