Glen Beck has had his life threatened, advertisers pulled out, past brought up

Beck stated in an interview with fellow continusously-confused-for-conservative pundit O'Reilly that he's received many threats.

I imagine a lot of them do. FFS, I've had my life threatened while playing poker, sitting at a red light (that apparently turned green before I realized!), and standing in line at Burger King. I just figure hungry people in a hurry hate to lose.

(Not for nothing, but I know at least one of the guys to threaten me was a leftist loon due to his many bumber stickers!!:P)

So this is the basis for saying that someone threatened him? I guess that we all have been threatened many times by random crazy people. I was almost hit by a guy a few months ago that had a McCain/Palin bumper sticker, I guess that some crazy right winger was tring to kill me because of my political views. What a JOKE.

Make light of it...you're only proving my point. The dissenters at the townhall meetings are painted in the worst light as being dangerous and nut cases. But when the liberals do something like threaten a conservative voice...it's played down and made light of. Go ahead...like I said, you're proving my point.

I'm certainly not nor would I ever make light of someone having their life threatened. I merely asked where you'd gotten this news. I wouldn't hear him say it himself because I don't watch or listen to him. I absolutely don't condone any violence or threat of violence against anyone else whether I happen to like or agree with that person or not and I know there are crazy people from every political ideology. I will say that it's people like Beck who are sometimes instrumental in pushing someone who may be ready to snap over the edge.

It is a sad fact of life that there are crazy people who would do such things.

But I don't look at it the same way you do anniepa.

If someone is violent...they don't need an excuse to be violent. And I am of the thought that we are all accountable for our own actions. Should the truth not be spoken of because someone will twist it to their own agenda? That is what keeps people in ignorance and dependent on others for their 'opinions'. I don't advocate hate speech....but to tell someone the truth is not being hateful. That is how they are trying to change the way things are thought of....if you want to follow this to it's logical conclusion...the patriots who fought the War of INdependence were guilty of hate speech.

I know there are crazy people from both sides of the aisle who need no encouragement to commit violence. It's bad enough that fact exists so why take the chance of pushing someone over the edge who may not be quite there yet? When you have someone like Glenn Beck calling doctors like Dr. Tiller "Tiller the Killer" and joking about his fantasy about poisoning the Speaker of the House's wine I say that's using one's freedom of speech irresponsibly. People like Beck has every right to say something like, "Someone's going to shoot ______" but that mean he SHOULD say it? BTW, I'm not claiming he's ever used those words, I'm just using an example. I value my rights and those of every other American very much but I also believe that with rights come responsibility. Sometimes common sense tells you there's not need to do something "just because you can".

Let's see.The Obama administration threatens senior citizens at the town hall meetings with their union thugs,threatens the man that runs a company that represents the bondholders at Chrysler,threatens people in his own party to vote the way he tells them to or they will get no DNC money and they will support other democrats in their districts. Ever heard of the Chicago way? Do you honestly think Obama didn't send thugs to Glenn Beck's home to intimidate him? Beck is exposing all the horrible things Obama is doing and you think Obama is just sitting back and doing nothing? These people are thugs that need to be stopped.

I knew about the "Chicago way" long ago, I was born in Chicago and was in High School on the south side..."if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun", and I was shocked that the President of the United States of America would say that in PUBLIC.

He's not exempt here guys....if Glen Beck fantasized about poisoning Pelosi...and said it publically...he's in the same company as the President. And Pelosi is no giggling school girl either. She's been known to say some pretty mean things in public.

Oh we can't have a conservative BLACK man who probably is a member of the NRA, can we?

And there IS plenty of violent and meanspirited Democrats out there on the prowl for Republicans.

It's like that Denis Leary ad for Hulu where he tells you that your parents were right, your teachers were right, "even that creepy scoutmaster with the tight brown shorts was right, TV is slowly rotting your brain and turning it into a slimy, gooey, mushy glob of pudding and there's nothing you can do about it. See? I just told you what was happenning and you're still watching... amazing."

If anyone can still support Pelosi, Reid and the other liberal leaders in Congress after watching them spin and spin their stories of hatred and intolerance while they do exactly what they are accusing the other side of doing, then it is truly amazing.

They hate Beck because what he is saying about all of these appointees and czars is true, it's in their own words, it's on video, it can't be denied. Therefore, he must be shut up. Otherwise, people might hear the truth that they are desperately trying to hide.

I've emailed the advertisers who backed out of his show because of pressure from the left....we need to be doing stuff like this to fight back.

A lot of people thought it was racist when Obama announced on national television that the cops acted stupidly in the Gates' incident and automatically assumed it was racial profiling. He not only besmirched the reputation of that police officer but his remarks also led to a more inflammatory situation that even got people attacking the woman who called the police.

I know the premise is that minorities can never be racist and only caucasians are racist but that's not really the truth. Obama's own words in writing and in speeches and in answer to that question must make one question whether or not he is racist.

If calling someone a racist is hate, then a whole lot of liberals are guilty of hate speech towards conservatives - on television and here on myLot. Practice what you preach should go for everyone.

Debater....you're wrong about Beck....he didn't like the Bush administration at all. And he's made no bones about it on his show....if you were actually watching it instead of starting this crap here.

I bet a lot of people think Obama is racist. So what? And since when is it a crime to state an opinion? He isn't yelling "fire" in a crowded theater so it's free speech and legal.

Claiming that Beck has "made a living attacking everything that isn't republican" shows that liberal blogs and occassional YouTube clips aren't any way to build an opinion.

Beck absolutely trashes the Bush administration.

But that just plays into the theory on political parties: you don't have to claim or choose, just simply disagree with liberal policy and you're automatically right-wing.

I do...I remember an interview he did with a returned vet....the Viet Nam vets were treated like crap when they came home...all due to the PRESS.
