What is your favorite Cold remedy? |

| I am sure everyone has their oppinions on what works best for them. Curious to see what everyone does. I take Echinachea when I have a Cold, or at the start of one, and find it helps clear it up quite fast. | | | | | |

| | My friend swears by a shot of wild turkey and a whole garlic clove. I've tried it and it seems to work. My uncle in TN makes cough syrup with whiskey and honey and other secret ingredients. I'm not so sure if it works. When my nose is stuffy I go to Winghouse and get fries with a side of "House on fire" sauce. It clears me right up. | | | | | | |

| | Well, I am a Recovering Alcoholic, so I personally will not try the Wiskey or Alcohol, but I have heard of food helping out with colds, and stuffed up nose, head, etc. before. | | | |

| | There is this stuff called Emergen-C that works really well. It's little packets of powder you can mix with water and drink hot or cold. They're great! | | | |

| | Since I take meds for high blood pressure, I haven't been able to find any cold remedies that work I can take with it. My solution to this problem has been to quit having colds. I haven't had a cold for about 4 years now, and I hope to continue in this pattern. I think teachers develop immunities from being around so many germs. | | | | | | |

| | Well, I have tried the Tea with Lemon and Honey which does help some also. The Chicken soup does sound good. One of these days if I ever feel up to it, I should consider msking some homemade soup of some sort. Have not done this in yrs. | | | |

| | I usually take Vicks Nyquil to help me with colds. I have both the daytime drowsy and nightime bottles of them. Echinachea doesn't seem to work for me but the Nyquil certainly helps. | | | | | | |

| | Wow!! Echinachea does not work for you? It sure has helped me in the past, and that is why I choose to keep it around. Nyquil on the other hand does not seem to work for me, so it is a mix of sorts is it not? | | | |

| | I just go to bed and sleep it off. Vitamin C and Zinc seem to help speed it up but time is the best cure. I don't work so there is no reason not to take a day or two off. | | | | | | |

| | If I feel one coming on then I take Vitamin C and Echinachea, and this seems to wart it off. If it comes on all the sudden then I like to use the Alieve Cold and Sinus tabs, those seem to keep it in check til it runs its course. | | | | | | |
