Can you live without any religion? |
|
Yes i do . As most of people in our country people are raised up without any religions . We just trust our leaders and goverment. We know little about God and any other religion. Can you live without any religion? Can religion help a lot in your life?

2. wmraul (583) | 4 months ago | All the way I can live without religion, while religion is only a political-and-social-control-and-manipulate-people system.
Religions are fakes. All of them promote peace, love, tolerance .. but not for others who belong to other religion. Those "infidels" must be converted or killed.
Religions have separated human from God. Religions promote violence towards people who belong to other religions. What? Sound familiar? Sure, is the classic "divide et impera".
Again: religions are form of manipulations and have nothing to do with God.
I belive in God, in reincarnation, in human knowledge, in friendship, in truth, in karma. I belive - in fact I am sure - I don't know yet lot of things and once I'll find out something, I'll face a new "I don't know". Which make me an agnostic.

Makro74 (101) | 4 months ago | I actually agree with you in part, but your conclusions would be different. Religion made by man would always be of the picture you paint. But you cannot blame the religion made by God (if you believe). For the Religion made by God, is of compassion and love for others, respecting each others wishes and beleifs. Love for all hatred for none is what is advocated by God, and all he asks is for you to fear and worship him. Man today is ignorant of these simple truths.

wmraul (583) | 4 months ago | Simply tell me which one is God's religion .. but be awared: not that you BELIVE is, prove it.
However, be sure whatever proofs you'll bring in support of one religion, ANY other religion have similar proofs.

grace118224 (671) | 4 months ago | Thanks very much for sharing your opinion here. I think religion itself is a good thing . It depends on people how to use it . What you say is right that sometimes religion is used as an excuse to start a war which is really cruel.

| Shahrus (47) | 4 months ago | I would have to agree with wmraul and others who've posted similar responses.
There is a difference between religion as an institution, a set of rituals and festivals, etc., and a relationship with divinity (however one perceives it to be).
I think what happens is that one person's vision of that relationship becomes, in time, relegated to empty ritualism, a banner of identity where people can rally around.
The result is something that has less to do with a relationship regarding the divine, and more to do with the do's and don'ts of the organization that eventually grows up around that person's original vision.
Buddhism, I believe, is a perfect example of how such a vision can be warped. The Buddha did not believe in God, or that consciousness survived physical death.
His concern was with this world, not a next one he did not believe in.
Yet Buddhism today (especially Vajrayana and Mahayana) is associated with gods and goddesses, with karma and reincarnation.
I can imagine the Buddha rolling around in his grave if he had one, poor thing.
I cannot live without some sense of connection with the divine, but I can live without religion as an organization, a set of beliefs, rituals, festivals and priests.

3. coolcat123 (3404) | 4 months ago | i think i will not be able to live without any religion becoz, religion forces me to live a peaceful and tough life otherwise suicide would have been a much easier way to end everything. God give us strength. the word GOD itself is enough for any thing we want or to remember. in times of need, i.e. in bad times as well as in good times...i remember God especially the bad times, God means a lot and prayers are also heard. religion teaches a person to be a human and not an animal, all religion teaches good things like to help others and pray when u are in trouble.
i think if their was no religion, whom do i have to turn to, in times needed.

| 4. bloggspot (16) | 4 months ago | hello Grace, Well i am Christian and i believe its what kept me going this far. After so many trials and obstacles in life and being independant, its what i cling to. It gives me hope, daily practice and understading. Without it, i could only imagine my life into chaos. I would definately say i cannot live without religion. Its like food, without it you are weak.

deathspectacular (804) | 4 months ago | Are we going to atheist church? Praying to god whom we do not believe? Are we having violent street wars with agnostics?
For the record, I'm referencing the tv show Metalocalypse; the specific episode is religionklok.

| 6. rodarose (29) | 4 months ago | No. Nobody can live without religion. You may say you're an atheist or an agnostic, but you can not deny that deep down inside you know that there exists this supernatural force that affects the activities of all that exist. This force is God, and we can't live without Him.

wmraul (583) | 4 months ago | Hey! I am agnostic and I KNOW there is a God.
And also I KNOW there is no connection between religion/church (any kind) and God, except that religion MANIPULATE people using the name of God.
religion= politics. Since always.
I agree - no doubt we cannot live without that "Force", but we sure will live better without religions ...

7. Makro74 (101) | 4 months ago | The simple answer is no. I certainly can't but neither can society or other individuals who think they are.
This is simply because religion has become a religion of God and purified by God, and not a religion of man and corrupted by man. If the latter is the case, it is for this reason that there is no trust in religion and fear of God goes out of the system. But for the former, it the mere fear of God, knowing His presence and being able to benefit from it spiritually and materially, one can never ever turn away from religion in such a manner.
Religion is a code of conduct, in its true sense, a way of life which leads to God. If this practice is corrupted and is devoid of love and devotion of the One God, then there is only an abyss of dark wilderness devoid of fear of God, and believe that this life is all there is. Obviously, if one cannot see beyond this then naturally, logic would have them disbelieve. But alas, if they are wrong and God does exist, I who believe will not fall in front of him and ashamed. However, if he does not exist then, I still have nothing to lose, because who will hold a jury out for something that does not exist.
Religion is a vehicle of mercy from God to Mankind. For God is in no need, but we humans are. All creatures are submissive to his obedience except humans. We humans need to learn of our ungratefulness and respect the Fear of God.

8. sysdexlicwriter (1139) | 4 months ago | To me there is a huge difference between religion and relationship. A religion many times causes people to trust in the religion's rules and leadership much more than the God of the Bible (speaking as a Christian). Even in the case of trusting in leaders and government. We are still putting our trust in people. I have found that whenever we trust in something run by mankind, there is an open door for you to be controlled by the leaders or organization. I prefer a relationship with the one whom I believe is God. I may get many ideas from religion or various leaders but I look to an ultimate relationship with God. In the meantime, I believe it is important to also respect leadership. It's an interesting thing to walked balanced in all of this.

wmraul (583) | 4 months ago | In support of what you say comes the alteration (in time) of what is called "baptize". Sometime durring the time it was changed from "do it when and if and who you want" to "parents decide for you while you are so young you barely make difference between pee and food:-P:-))
| |
|
|
grace118224 (671) | 4 months ago | It's right that you cann't have a decision when you are young . Your parents would choose that for you.
