How did you feel when you hold a new born baby?  |

 My spouse's brother's wife just labored last week, it was a baby girl. We went to the hospital and visited them. I was excited to see the little baby and wanted to hold her, I think that was the first time that I held a 5 hours old new born baby, she is so tiny and delicate, I held her carefully and touched her little fingers, so cute!! I was quite nervous and it made me sweat a little:-p
I had experience of holding babies before but she was the youngest baby that I ever held!

I have had lots of experience with babies - i was 15 when my youngest sister was born and I loved to hold her (diaper changing didnt even bug me) as well as multitudes of cousins and now cousins babies!

The only new born baby that I held before was my son. I am afraid to hold new born babies as they are so delicate and tiny. I am afraid that I will drop them accidentally! I love to see them but I don't feel comfortable to hold them when they are just born!

A friend of mine had a little baby girl. I think she (the baby) was a few days old when I went to go visit (she's 17 now). I didn't really want to hold her just because she was so small and delicate and I never held a newborn before. I didn't want to goof it up, after all. But my friend insisted and I did better than I expected. LOL
