| | I think if you are a beginner you should try your hands on a acoustic it is a bit hard but trust me if you will learn to play acoustic guitar then you will surely be a great guitar player soon then you can easily try your hands over elctric without much training for it because it is easier than acoustic. | | | | | | |

| | Hi seekers. For me electric guitar is just a little extension to the guitar family. So if you are starting to learn you should try your hands on acoustic by default. Because if you are impatient and not into music completely electric guitar will begin to sound annoying and you would most probably quit learning guitar. So my advise go for acoustics.. | | | | | | |

| | I do not play either, but i would think that a acoustic would be easier for the fact that you can play it any where, and you do not have to have it plunged into a amp all the time, it would just be easier to carry it around with out the amp, and you could play or practice outside. | | | | | | |

| | I would go with acoustic as a beginner. It's just more versatile, in my opinion, and, while both are probably just as easy to learn, it can be cumbersome going from electric to acoustic. If you learn on acoustic, the transition as a lot easier. This is all my opinion though, as a heads up. | | | | | | |

| | Someone will always say otherwise if someone will say acoustic or electric. But for me, I started with electric, because it's not that bulky when I was learning chords. Good thing too that I started with electric because I ended up playing it good. | | | | | | |

| | If you are just begining, I think acoustic is definately better to learn on than an electric. It may be harder to finger the chords, but, down the road when you get an electric guitar, it will seem oh so easy! It takes a lot of repetative practice to learn the chord positions whether you have an acoustic or an electric guitar. Good luck and rock on! | | | | | | |
