Whats the trick for working with reviewstream

Hi Ivygray! I have been writing for Reviewstream for the past few months. I am so glad to hear that they really pay! How quickly did you get your payment after you requested it? It is so nice to hear from someone who got paid, I will have to continue and in fact increase my efforts there.

Thanks for the info..I don't think the problem is short on words, as a matter of fact, I was thinking I was writing too much..Maybe I'll try dividing into more paragraphs, as you suggest. I am definately writing truthfully, mostly have been reviewing food as a have a food blog and its a subject i know best!! I hope this works out as I do a lot of free lance writing and most of my stuff gets bought so I'm starting to get a complex here!! I'll take your suggestions and just keep on perserving..Thanks again Joyce

Hi ivygrey. I am a first-time user of reviewstream. I reached the payout minimum and I have been trying to figure out how to get paid. The FAQ said I have to make a formal request. Who do I email to make the request? I have written a lot of reviews for them and I always got the bulk rate. I think I only got paid the $2 rate twice, and it was on cosmetics. Do you have suggestions how I could get the regular rate of $2? Thanks.

H Opalna...now I'm really feeling bad..Sometimes, just the second I hit submit it tells me they are not interested..Only once did I receive a confirmation stating that they had received my review and would be notified..Do you know why that is? No one could possibly review something in a nanosecond,,Maybe I'm doing something wrong..any ideas? Please PM me if you get a chance..Joyce

Joyce, the only thing that would account for that is not enough words. Either that or there is some kind of bug in your computer that is keeping the reviews from being sent. I really think the word count is the issue here. 300-400 words is a lot, maybe more than you think.

I suggest writing a few of your reviews in WORD or another word processing program first and then copy pasting them into the space. Then on the WORD you can keep track of how many words you have. When it says on WORD that you have 400 words, stop writing. Then submit. I have heard its 300 but go for 350 or 400 just to make sure. Know your word count before you submit, and I bet you will do better.

You'r right about what their motive is here..but then I really don't care as long as they pay me..not that the pay is anything to get excited about.. My theory is that they are going to try to sell these stories to whoever, get paid a whole lot more than you would diretly, obviously, I think that is why the writter is kept annonymous..I'm not sure what their motives are accept for money,,Just wish they would be a little more generous with what we get!!! J

Well, the thing is, if they are inherently dishonest and lying to us, eventually they may turn into a scam and suddenly stop paying. I don't like to work with dishonest people. They will scam you if given a chance. I wish you luck in it though. Every time I go there I don't like the keywords anyway, they are all "Skip hire" etc- what the heck is a skip? I am wondering if I could even write a story for them, the words are so obscure. I think I could write on the love ones, but they probably go really fast and I don't think I could get paid just writing those.

Anyway, I think I will pass.

I hope you get the problem with ReviewSTreawm sorted out. I wrote one food review that got the 2 dollar rate, but most reviews I've found only pay the 40 cents, at least most movie reviews do- I've gone on for like 1000 words and still just got the 40 cents, so subject does matter.

I think you should try to make your reviews longer to get accepted. They wouldn't be rejecting them so fast if it wasn't word count.

Lol,,,A skip is the equalivant to a dumpster in this country. Its a large container that opens from the top and in England they call them skips..I don't know how much you could write about renting a dumpster or why anyone would care, but I see those keywords on that site often so obviously someone is interested! The english have a lot of strange words, not to them, but to us..I am having pretty good luck with the site however and have been paid the going rate each time so far..It makes me keep going back as 2-4 bucks per post is hard to ignore...I'm sure I'll get the .40 soon as all good things come to an end!! So you have been paid from Work-Online? I could go back there and try to write some articles. It's just that it requires a big commitment to get to the payout. And I keep thinking they will just up and disappear before I make it that high. Well- how many times have you gotten paid by them?

I keep getting the 40 cents for RS. I am kind of bummed out because a few of my reviews were rejected and when i asked why, they were really obnoxious about it. Also, they said they aren't happy with movie reviews and its "unacceptable" to write too many of them, and that is what I like to write though I can slip a few in about medication I suppose- It's hard

I am a free lance writer on the side also and usually get bought..I've been writing mostly on food as that is what my blog is about, so its a subject I'm quite farmiliar with..usally they reject me just the second i submit it..only once did they send me a confirmation saying that they had received it and I would be notified..has that happened to you where your review was rejected 1 nanosecond after submitting? I never get rejected before and therefore i cant really answer your question, By the way, according to my experience on this kind of review writing, the dont actually care much about the grammar and spelling. What they are concern are
1. The link is dofollow
2. The anchor text they required is correct (mean you shall include the text required by the advertiser)
3. Unique content (never copy single sentences from either the website or other website)
4. The word count shall not be lesser than their requirement. If they never mentioned about the word count, better make it more than 250 words.
5. Your niche/ PR/ alexa ranking shall fulfill the requirement if they have list out

Once you fulfill the above, sure you wouldnt be rejected.

Iam willing to try anything at this point!! I don't think my problem is lack of words as I'm a freelance writer (smalltime) and not usually at a loss of words..however, you never know, so I'll try it..

Thanks so much for the tips..I guess that word content is my problem and I;ll try that tonight, It just so aggravating when you know you've written a good piecs and they keep rejecting..I guess its a matter of Perservence for me!!
