Have you ever got lost in a crowd in your childhood? Have you seen those kids?

I am sure that I did more than once,me being me!
My son got lost in Wal-mart the other night. i was so scared and couldve beat him. He was standing there with me, the next he was gone. I searched and searched and couldnt find him, then I started panicking. By the time I made it 2 the customer service desk they were paging Erik's mommy. I was so relieved. It is a very scary situation!

My parents instructions are exactly that. Whenever we go to a crowded mall, what my mom would first do is to instruct us that if ever we would get lost, we should look for a guard or the information booth and request the lady in the counter to page her. So we seldom really panic when we can't find her, we already know what we should do.

i never got lost myself but i had witnessed my younger sister getting lost. that was actually bit funny. i was 8-9 years young and was playing in the neighbourhood with my sis (3 yrs that time).i got busy in my play and she walked out to the main road and some passerby picked her up.that person kept asking all other passerby if they knew her and took her to the nearest temple. my father happened to visit that temple as it was tuesday and he was surprised to see my sister nicely sitting in the lap of the pujari.and thus she was recovered without much ado while i and mom were ignorant till dad returned with her and told the incident

That was happen to me once. I remember it was Saturday or Sunday night, me and my parents always go the certain mall because it's kinda time for me to play in timezone and other place to play. After play, I ran to other toys and then I lost my dad. I felt so scared, I walked randomly and cried quietly. Then I saw my dad's clothes, I pulled that clothes and cried. I was really surprised when it was other person who wear the same clothes as my dad. I ran and felt so afrad! Really! I started to imagine someone pick me and do cruel things or what to me When I was ready to cried loudly and shouted, my dad found me and lifted me. I cried and hug him,,hehehe.. He warned me not to run anywhere after play a games. Since that time, I always walk close to my parents in a crowded place. I know what to do now in case I'm lose again but same with you, I always remember that experienced when attend crowded place.
I've seen those situation, a boy walk around, cried and shouting "mom". My family pick him and bring him to the security and announcing desk. We don't know what happened next, but hope his mom came soon!

I was just about ten and suddenly I could not s ee my mom anywhere. we were shopping in J.c.Pennys store. it was a week or so before Christmas and the store was so full of people and all of them so muhc bigger and taller than I was. I was so scared as this store was new to me a nd I wasnt in the s mall town where we lived but in a bigger town thirty miles away. I burst into tears and finally a nice woman clerk saw me and knew I was lost. She held my hand and had them call over a loud speaker, looking for the parents of patsie clark. well my mom was also scared to death.she was afraid I might have left the store. so when she found me we were both crying and was i glad to see her. I was a farm kid who didnt get into big towns often. Now as a senior citizen I have to laugh. my large city had maybe 13000 people in it. now its about 70000. but I still remember how very scared I was. and even today I get cold chils if I am with others and suddenly they just get out of my sight. I feel that same childish fear.

I get lost when i accompany my father to theater as i always hold his hand, but I get loose from holding. I am busy watching the still photos and I never thought when I hold again the hand of the person beside me, I felt a change, when I look up..It was a different man, so I mistakenly hold another person hand thinking it is still my father. So, I get confused and i run to find my father among the crowd. I really get nervous he left me, but he still there looking at me at the corner. And, when I find him I get relief. since, that i always hold his hand tightly even pulling his shirt that I get tease by my older sisters for being a Papa girl..

Sorry to hear about your bad experience happened in your childhood. I never had this lost in a crowd before.

Some times back when I was in a shopping mall, I did see some little kids crying and looking for their parents. I was so pity for them, cried till the whole face was red. But lucky they are some one from the mall to assist them to look for the parents. Parents just need to be careful while shopping in crowded places.

It may be when I was around 7 years old,we as a family had went to see an excursion and there were lot of people around, everyone in their own activities around the fair.I and most of us were very curious to know what the excursion had in all.Thus I would actually stay long at any particular portion of entertainment or any activity being shown by artists.
I was told to be holding each others arms and never to leave the grip.Well exactly the same was done but in that big crowd I was holding another persons hand for a moment or so and this was the reason for all the trouble,I got lost and the man whose hand I was holding me actually smiled at me since he too didn't had an idea, that who I was.I stood at the same spot for nearly 10 minutes and my God,my father came searching for me,I felt something like an huge relief,and a broad smile came over to both of us,the unknown man gave by another smile too.These things are regulars at places where there are many people around,for sure.

I don't remember getting lost in a crowd as a child, but I know it's happened. I am sure it's very scary, and I am glad that people do call (through an intercom) if they can to let the parents know their child has been found and (hopefully) is safe. There's a fair that comes to a county near us that we sometimes go to - I've heard them call for people to be met at a certain point but as for having heard a call of a missing child, I don't know.

Though I suppose if they are to be met at a certain point, they are lost... kind of? lol.

I was always so scared of getting lost when I was a child. There must be a reason for that fear but I don't remember why. There was one time my daughter got lost when she was a little girl. My mother and I were with my daughter at our local shopping mall and we were walking along, my daughter beside me and then suddenly my daughter was gone! Oh my goodness, I panicked. Fortunately we had just been shopping in this one store and my daughter recognized it and ran inside and we found her. What sweet relief to see her safe!!
