Do you have stairs to climb at home/office?

Do you have to climb stairs at your house and office? Do you climb it or take elevator(lift)? My friend, though lift is available, climbs stairs and she is very healthy even in 62 years now. I cannot climb stairs. I feel heavy in the heart and start breathing fast. What about you? Can you climb steps easily?

Hi Buchibulla I don't have stairs at my workplace but I do have stairs at home and I don't mind climbing them at all its good excerise. I find myself going up and down and up and down through the course of the day especially when its laundry day:-) Our laundry room is downstairs, I live in a split level home so there is about 6 steps to climb as soon as I walk in door or 6 steps down if I want to go downstairs. I also take the steps at least half the time when there is an elavator and I always take the steps in the mall instead of using the esculators. on nice days I even park my car a little further down from the wherever I am shoppin at as well. :-)

I don't have to climb steps at work; however, my husband and I live in a two story house. We just bought this home two months ago. Out last home was a two story home as well and we swore we would never move into another one. The home we just bought went on the market and had EVERYTHING we wanted, except it also had stairs!! Luckily, the first floor has the laudry room, kitchen, den, and even a computer room that can be converted into a bedroom if needed.

We do not have stairs here other than our deck steps. I would much rather take an elevator also than to walk the stairs. It takes my breath and makes my legs hurt after walking so many of them in a row.

Hello friend. I live on the fifth floor on campus, and I work on the fourth floor in the teaching building. It is a lot of climbing though. When it is cool and cold, I feel good climbing those steps, but when it is hot, I feel tired when I am halfway on the stairs. So I always manage to walk steadily while going upstairs so that I won't feel heavy in the heart. I hate to walk or run out of breath as I won't feel good once it happens. Take care, friend.

I live on 2nd floor so yes, I do climb stairs. I'm used to it. It sounds as if you have a handicap and need to be in aplace that is easier to access.

My husband and I live in the basement of a rther old apartment building. We can either go down two regular flights at the front, or down one really steep one at the back, to get to our door. The back one is closer to our door, but the front one is easier to climb up and down, so we tend to use the front one.

I love stairs! I always tell my friends that the stairs is my favorite invention of all time when I was still in school lol. But after graduating, I stay home all the time because I do all of my work on my computer. I am just lying in my bed most of the day doing work on my laptop so I really don't get to see sunlight or get to exercise. Thanks to the stairs because without it, i'd surely be very weak right now. The staris has been my only form of exercise for about a year now. Since I am always on my bedroom working, I go up and down my stairs to get food or water down to the kitchen. I'm sure it's not enough form of exercise but I atleast I get to stretch a bit by taking the stairs. :D

So climbing stair is helping you to have some exercise. That is really good. Though the exercise is not enough as per your response, your response is enough to get BEST RESPONSE AWARD. Here it goes...Have a good day friend.
