vathsala30 (606) | 3 months ago | I make spicy potato curry, spicy cauliflower and potato curry, chana masala and chole as a side dish for chapati and poori. spicy mixed vegetables,and varieties of curries and raithas and parathas, sambars, rasams and soups. I can make Rasam out of neem flowers, which is not only tasty but good for health, good for Diabetic patients, and kills intestinal worms. We can mix it with Rice or we can drink it like soup. For Breakfast i will make Idli, varieties of dosa, varieties of Uppma, and Pongal, for which coconut or onion chutney will go well.The list goes on like this. There is no end lest you may be feeling bored.

As for ginger, I use it in some dishes. In my country fresh ginger is hard to get and not very cheap. So it´s not worth it.

I know nothing about the North Indian cooking or the South Indian cooking. But for sure, Ginger, onion and garlic are so useful in my cookery .
Garlic is normally used in our daily dishes. We cook vegetables with garlic, some times, we do use garlic to cook some pork too. Garlic makes the food more fragrant. I like to add in some ginger to my dishes too to make the food more tasty. I took a lot ginger when I was on my confinement month. It is believed that ginger can make the body warm.
Lastly, onion is used when I cook soup. I normally add some onions in my soup. Sometimes I fry the onions before add in the soup.

Garlic is supposed to reduce our BP while ginger helps in digestion. People who suffer from loss of appetite and indigestion, should take ginger juice made of raw ginger juice, boiled with 1 glass of water and a little jaggery for a while and strain and drink adding a pinch of salt. Immediately a belch comes. That means the juice is digested. After some time simply we feel hungry

I cook tomato soup too. My kids like this soup. Beside tomatoes, I put carrots, potatoes and some onion and cook everything with pork rib. We called this soup as ABC soup.
I never know ginger is good for digestion. But my mom do tell me that take too much of ginger will cause constipation.

Then remove from the fire, add fresh coriander leaves, bread crumbs fried in ghee. This is my way of cooking Tomato Soup. We do not take NV. Not even egg. How do you cook Tomato Soup?

I also like to use some crushed black pepper and various herbs to give the food more flavour. I should use onion more often in my cooking though. Having a good spice rack and a good herb rack is a must in any kitchen. Cooking with natural ingredients is so much tastier and rewarding than putting processed food in the microwave or oven.

For the indigestion problem, just crush it add 1 cup of water, little jaggery and boil it. add 1 pinch of salt, strain the concoction and drink. you will get one belch and indigestion is gone. For any spicy curries, simply paste, ginger, garlic, green pepper, onion, tomato, curry leaf, fresh coriander leaf and fresh coconut, and fry this paste with little oil and then add single or assorted fresh green vegetables,add salt and turmeric powder and cook dry curry. this goes well with any rotis, dosas(pan cake) chappati and sandwich
