Blogging makes money only if........

You are absolutely right that blogging is an elementary thing to do. What is hard to do is to drive traffic to your blog and eventually earn money from it. I have tried proven ways to drive traffic such as article submission, forums, social networking etc. These are simple ways but sometimes it is hard to drive traffic when you chose a not so interesting niche for your blog.

Yes writing blog is in vogue now. I have as many as 170 blog posts at ibibo.com. Earlier that site used to pay but now this only an exercise activity there. The sites you mentioned pay for blogging and there are some other sites, I know, which pay.

Blog is actually a web log, like a personal diary. And creating a blog does not demand much effort. Once you are in the job is done. Many are earning through blogs.

Blogging makes money if you have what the visitor is looking for. many bloggers fail to do that. they concentrate on placing ads - bidvertiser, adsense, adbrite etc. they fill the site with these in expectation of people clicking it. do you really believe people come to your blog to click these ads? No. visitors come there to read what you have written. if it has any value they come back. may be you can offer professional help to them. advertise your services shamelessly. that may bring in money.

I am new to blogging. A blog about my money making online is about one month old, and another blog of more about my personal site is less than a month old. I also do anything to have a traffic at my blog. At my money making blog, I removed the adsense so I can promote it in traffic exchange sites. I also added Paid-to-promote, so I can get paid with the traffic I get in certain countries. Though its not a huge amount, it's just fine since I am just new. I also joined Adgitize, and I did help in increasing my traffic for my site.

It's easy to create a blog, but if you want to earn from it, your blog must have a central theme and your content must not only be relevant but also has some keywords that people might look up in Google. And you also must update your site regularly so you will increase visitors and somehow increase earnings from it.

That is right. That is easy to make simple blog with blogspot. We only need gmail and login to blogger. We only make name of url, choose template and make posting. That is very simple.

But if you want to make more beautiful blog, that is not simple. In the Blogspot, we can modify the template to make more beautiful blog. That must be have skill to modified template. That is same with build the website.

I try to make variation template in my blog. And that must have HTML skill. So, I think to make more beautiful blog we must have HTML skill. But if only make a simple blog, you no needed that skill.

But in my opinion, If our blog very simple, that make visitor go away from our blog.

A very interesting discussion here. However, I would like to add something about making money from Google Adsense. One must remember that visitors only click ads because they need them, and the people who need them are most likely coming from search engines. They are the ones searching for something, not fellow bloggers or social visitors.

If a blog is new and have only a few backlinks, then visitors from search engine will not find them at once. Therefore, the ad clicks will more or less be coming from social visitors. In this case, Google might think that you are asking them secretly to click your ads even if you don't. With this, there is a big chance that your account will be suspended and you will never recover it again.

With this, I don't suggest new blogs to have Google Adsense at once. Nevertheless, there are a lot of ways to make money from blogs such as making paid posts or selling something.

But of course, I agree that it is very hard to promote a blog especially if you are a beginner. This inspired me to make blog posts entitled How to Promote a Blog for Beginners: Part One and Two, in which the links are on my profile.

I am now about to finish Part Three which is the final chapter, and I hope it can help a lot especially for beginners.
