Hey guys!
Just wonderin', how early do you put up your Chrismas decors and how late do you put it away? In my case, as soon as the "BER" months start! Yes, I already have my little Christmas tree installed, with the colorful musical lights in it:) Then, I put it away by the end of January. How 'bout you? Do you wait until December to decorate your house with the Christmas decors? Happy Lotting!

hi veron.
my wife is in-charge of the decors. usually we start decorating by november, with the tree and the lights. putting the tree away is also made early, once the 3 kings date is passed.
but you know, aside from the tree, we usually have the other decors on the whole year round. i don't know about her, but she's not lazy to remove them. maybe she wants to feel the christmas everyday.

i like to celebrate fall and our canadian thanksgiving (in early october) before i put christmas ornaments. we start decorating around the beginning of december and take down our stuff (sans the snowmen) just after new years. (snowmen are left up til march ish).

Hi there Veronizm!Well, usually, we put up our decors after Halloween. I guess we will be putting the decors this year like that. We put up some Halloween decorations every November and after Halloween, when we take them down, that's when we put up the Christmas decors. I am a bit excited since I love it how people decorate their houses for the Christmas season. It's like every house looks cheerful and alive.
On Christmas Season, we always put up a tree and every year, we decide what the motif will be. For this year, I will be rooting for Yellow Gold to remember the late President Corazon Aquino. She made a big difference, change the course of our nation and made it become a "nation" again. We will be remembering her this Christmas.
We also put up large Christmas stockings on the door of our bedrooms although I won't be participating this year but instead, I will be the one putting treats on them.

Hi nanay angel! :) I remember my childhood days when we used put up socks on our windows during Christmas. Our parents would then fill them up with goodies and sweets (and I even remember once, big toys) while we were asleep. In the morning, we would squeal with happiness as we see our socks filled with all those candies and toys that we asked from Santa through a letter, lol. Back then, I really thought that it was Santa who filled up those socks :)
Anyway, we don't decorate for Halloween so as early as September I already put up my Chrismas lights and decors :) I'm that excited for Christmas! :)
Having a motif for the decors is really great! We seldom do that since we only put up the same decorations every year, lol, which gaves me an idea, maybe I should set up some motif on my decors too!

Hi Veronizm,
I normally start decorating the home with Christmas theme after the Halloween, or in our country, the All Saints Day/All Souls Day, which is after November 2. The Christmas tree again claims the centerstage, along with the Christmas lights and other trimmings. I put them away after the Three Kings, the first Sunday of January.

My tree will go up the day after Thanksgiving. I will put my decorations the day after as well. I have always put things up in November. My husband and I put our seven feet tree up and our ornaments. Our stockings go up on Christmas Eve right before we go to bed. I am sure we will have a cat or two under the tree. For some reason the cats love sitting under the tree.

Well, I find September too early to put up Christmas decor. Usually my family does it on November, by the second or third week. They are up until the first or second Sunday of January.
