As many of you know, especially my friends here, that I had Cataract surgery on my right eye on June 1st and then on my left eye on July 13th. It has been an interesting experience, and for anyone ever needing to get it done, if you have Good insurance and can afford to get it done it is definately worth it for sure. Yes, I have had my struggles and my times that are better than most but for the most part it is the Best thing I have ever done for sure. The main issue I still find is since I am diabetic if I allow my sugars to get too high, or if I am tired my vision sometimes is a little blurry or if I am trying to read smaller print it sometimes is fuzzy, but for the most part I can see pretty good now for sure. I went to my final Eye exam check up yesterday the 11th, and I do not need Glasses. I can see pretty good without them. If I have troubles from time to time reading smaller print I could try to see if reading glasses could help more as well. But for me, this is the results I was really hoping and Praying for so for all of you who have been Praying for me over time I really appreciate it, and want to Thank you. If there is anything dramatic that ever changes from this, I will let you know, but Life without glasses after 38 yrs. is awesome. ~~TINA~~

Good for you Tina, Great to hear something good, not all doctors and medial practices are bad, this is a good thing that we can have done and it should be widely available to all people who suffer. Seeing is a no brainer to a quality of life... Now if we can only give people in the position of authority the ability to see clearly. I have much to say or write, or both... Peace and Blessings, Sincerely, Gary

GREAT!! I've know several people and met more that have had the surgery and love it. The only 2 that had problems, both brought them on themselves. The first was a fellow who freely admitted he went too long between surgeries (like years) and because of that his eyes didn't work together any longer. The other was the former roommate's mother who insisted on doing things that were against the rules and then tried to get sympathy because they weren't healing right. You know, she didn't like me much because I told her that she was doing it to herself.

Hello Tina. I am so happy to hear that you have had a very successful cataract surgery, which is very exciting and encouraging to those who are suffering from cataract. But I am sorry to let you know that my father who has been suffering from cataract for decades did not have a successful surgery back to his fifties, which made my father's vision even worse--strong light hurts my father's eyes. My mother-in-law also had this kind of surgery and it was not a good one, either. So I am sure that the medical science in your country is really great, as can be seen from your case. I am glad that you don't have to wear glasses any more and can see things clearly, which offers your life and work much more convenience. Take care, my dear friend.

I am so glad things went well. I know my dad has always had glasses as far as I can remember. He doesn't need them now, and at first, he could walk past me in a store and I would not even recognize him. I have never seen him without them.

Wow, congratulations indeed! I'm so happy to hear of the great news. I remember your previous discussions regarding the operation and now I'm really happy for the result. It must have been an indescribable feeling for you to finally get rid of your spectacles and the cataracts too. My aunt had a similar situation and she too got a desirable result after the operation. So, here I am lifting a cup of champagne to your successful operation!

Oh Tina this is wonderful news, I have been keeping you in my prayers and they have been answered - I can hear the joy in your discussion at not having to wear glasses after all those years. I'm not sure if I could have the surgery - I get nervous just putting contacts in my eyes don't know my stress level could handle surgery :( Praising the Lord for your success!

I'm so glad to hear that. I remember when my grandpa had cataract surgery. Afterward he didn't need glasses. I had never seen him without glasses. He too has diabetes. He has a host of other medical problems as well. I'm glad that his vision is one thing that doesn't hold him back anymore. He's using a walker right now. So being able to see is a blessing.
