I seriously don't feel the effect of coffee.

I mean, coffee's supposed to help you wake up when you're supposed to do something like paperwork and all. But I just don't feel anything when I drink coffee. Is that supposed to be a problem? I can't think of something that would make me feel immune to it's effect. I;ve been thinking I've been putting too much creamer? Sometimes, I use evaporated milk instead of creamer since it makes it more creamier. Well, I just don't know why I still feel awfully sleepy despite the caffeine.

Yes, I do that but after a while your fresh face makes you even sleepier and all just like what you feel when you took a bath when you're already sleepy. I find water more effective in waking me up than coffee. lol

maybe because coffee become part of your system already. and that you become immune to it. it also happened like we need to finish our report and we stay at the office for the whole night and i took like more than 10 coffee that night and still i didnt see the effect. but when i rest the next day since im no longer moving. i have difficulty breathing and they need to rush me to the hospital. of course too much coffee will damaged your nervous system that you will feel so weak and have difficulty breathing.

Yes, I have to agree. I have a friend who made a point to have a starbucks planner within a week. So Imagine how much coffee a day for one week she had. She had to be rushed to the hospital after a week or so.

hi resssaaa are you eating something very sweet with your coffee or adding a lot of sugar.too much sugar will make you feel drowsy. also if you have not had a blood sugar test just to be sure you are not pre diabetic maybe you should do this. one of the first signs I had was being too too sleepy right after coffee and something sweet, then going to the bathroom too much. probably you are fine but eveyone should be checked for pre diabetes ocassionally just to be sure.its one sneaky disease.oh yes the evaporated milk is loaded with sugar no wonder you feel sleepy. wow.

The coffee won;t taste good without evaporated milk and sugar. lol. But honestly even though I've tried black coffee with sugar only I still do feel drowsy. Don't worry I am not diabetic. :)

I love to drink coffee. I, like you, do not feel the effects of coffee. It doesn't wake me up or get me hyper. I feel the same after drinking coffee as I did before drinking a cup. I just like the way it tastes. I can drink coffee in the morning or at night.

Yes I am fond of coffee too, I think frapuccinos and espressos are forms of coffee. They're just so delicious I get addicted to them al the time. Especially in coffee shops, where they serve coffee in different ways with different designs. It's just fun to drink coffee that way.

LOL on the decaf response! Funny! You could try having espresso instead of instant - if that is the kind of coffee you're drinking. I heard that a shot of espresso is equivalent to four cups of instant coffee or something to that effect.

wow! Yeah I drink espresso although I buy one in mocha blends or at starbucks. I could not afford to buy one late at night though. :)

I used to drink some 12 cups of coffee per day and believe me it was not very effective too as I was feeling more stressed up and I gradually had to reduce the number of cups I drink per day, now maybe one or two cups I take in the office, with milk, or cream.

12 cups? isn't that a bit too many? I too when making coffee I put lots of creamer or milk. If that is the case what's the use of coffee then.

Caffeine doesn't affect me much either. The smell of coffee works pretty well to wake me up but the caffeine doesn't do much. I don't think it's a problem. I know lots of people who say the same thing.
