Cowlicks!

How many of you have a cowlick (or cowlicks) in your hair? Does it drive you nuts or is it actually beneficial?
If you do have a cowlick that's always messing things up what do you do to control it? Do you slick it back or try to iron it to death? I have one right at my hairline on the right side of my face and it drives me crazy! It always effects how my bangs lay and I can never seem to get it to behave.
So how do you deal with your 'licks?

Instead of fighting w/it learn to work w/it. There are things that u can do with your hair if u have a good haircut & a good hairdresser.

I did hair for 47 years & i know how aggravating they can be for the person & the hirdresser. I use to cut a guy's hair that had 6 or 8 of them. that was definitely a challenge to cut his right, lol.

I never knew I had one until a beautician that was cutting my hair told me. It had never caused me any trouble but when she was done my hair layed down much nicer! She was great, worked at Walmart and loved working with wavy hair like mine, used a razor instead of scissors and I was sorry to lose her when I moved back to my home state!

My fair in thick, curly and fine. It's a major pain in the a$$! They can't use a razor because it just turns into fluff and that silly cowlick prevents my bangs from 'working'. Sometimes it actually does help though, today is actually one of them. If I do them properly and the cowlick decides to be nice it does work well to wear my bangs to the side. But that's like one day out of 50!

NO cowlicks, just an annoying part that I can't get rid of very easily...

I haven't noticed any in myself, but my kids have them terribly. My daughter has a cowlick where her hair parts... I try to put it in a pony tail or head band and that part just won't move!! I can't comb it back or anything.
My 2 middle boys have cowlicks at the top of their head which makes their short hair stand straight up. I was supposed to keep their hair longer, but I cut it really short for summer, and it's still so short it's sticking up. My 3 year old actually has 4 cowlicks.
