Well it is California so either criminals or frivolous cases could jam the system. But, the state of California has been so broke that they had to write IOU's to people that were going to get a state income tax refund.

I presume they managed to turn the electric back on in California. See I'm out of date with American politics but I'm going to get back into it.

What they should do is replace the politicians with very dull accountants and everything would run much more smoothly, but the really dull kind, not flashy bankers.

Politics in general TD, I've got rather out of things living here as world events are pretty insignifcant in Greece, and it's all the same old. But I always enjoyed a good satirical kick, but never up for convestion. Don't these people understand we already know our own minds, that's because we have one, whilst they are always changing theirs depending who is holding the baby they have to kiss.

I never thought of adding accountants, but, some of our major accounting firms haven't been very honest either LOL Oh, and here, most politicians are lawyers not bankers so that would probably explain why our politics are so screwy

I can certainly understand why your lawyers don't make good politicians but you miss my point with the accountants, you don't want the sort from flashy firms used to billing high, you need the sort of honest doormat who sits around in a cardigan being totally honest and dull, every politician should have someone like that behind them, not a yes men letting them spend what they want but the really cautious type who'd advocate home made sandwiches and flasks of coffee brought into the office. They can't pontificate about costs and cuts until they start at basic levels.
