1-2 days at one place and 1 day working at another, so I am finding some work.

Monday and sometimes Tuesday, I work for an herb company, but she does a lot with gathering, esp. wild stuff. She loves having people work for her this time of year so she can make jams and jellies. She makes chokecherry and sumac. I asked her if she gets much trouble because of the sumac. People don't realize there is an edible part to some sumac trees. There is poison oak and regular oak, poison ivy and regular ivy, the same with hemlock and sumac. She said she would have to remember to interject that because she has to educate people and have them try samples to get them to buy it. There are sooo many sumac (red) that can be used and people think it's poisonous (white and in swamp or really wet land). She was only able to make two batches of chokecherry jelly and that is a big seller. I'm trying to find more chokecherries for her. She said it was a bad year for them up here. Maybe the deer ate them? Wednesday, only one day cleaning for one woman. Occasionally, an elderly man has enough money for me to clean for him. So some weeks 2 days of work, some 3, and some 4. Makes it hard to pay my bills.

Good to hear you are finding work and keeping busy. It's just so sad that so many people are unemployed and looking for jobs. Would like to see this change and soon. Ok, I have to admit that I've never heard of chokecherry jelly so I learned something new this morning. What do you actually do at the herb company?

All different stuff, some days I bundle stuff that is about to go out. Some days I weed, some days they sew 3/4 of a pillow inside out and I have to turn them rightside out, sometimes I stuff pillows with balsom for chests of drawers to make them smell nice, I've cut chinese lanterns so they could bundle them, I've taken the leaves off hydrangeus so they could bundle them (the last two are to sell for decoration at Halloween and fall harvest times only), I listen for the telephone, I bring stuff to the compost piles, different piles for different things, whatever needs to be done. That way she's free to do her jams and jellies or help someone with the wood chipper. I don't do the wood chipper.

I really, really like the helping out the herb place job. But the cleaning job is also interesting. Like one day I had to hurry and clean the livingroom so that they had a place for their company to sit and have tea. The next time I cleaned, religious items. Another time taking things out of boxes and helping to find places to put them after dusting them off. The last two are like finding buried treasure. People have such interesting religious objects and you never know what's in boxes from religious objects to kitchen stuff to videotapes and games as well as CDs and DVDs to just loose change thrown in a box. Cleaning floors and countertops aren't very exciting, but I can do these things and other people can't, so I'm glad I still can.

I think work is very difficult to find these days, I am also searching for a good job, well in the current job it is okay but it pays too less so I in search for some work which pays sufficiently to be able to pay my studies at least, why don't you sign up in sites to get an additional money.!

I have, but the sites take forever to make money or forever to pay. I need $300 a week to pay my bills and the nickels and dimes I make could be better spent arranging advertizing or finding another day job. Or even gathering stuff in my yard or a field.
