We used to play four room stone play i.e. keeping four stones in the middle of the four rooms that we draw on the road, thief will protect the stone by walking on the connecting lines and we have to take the stone. Then we were playing thief- police, kho-kho and indoor games like tamarind seeds, stones, chess, word game, chinese checkers and carrom board.

We played so many games outdoors pretending to be cops and robbers or else knights. We would fight the bad guys and protect our forts. Then, when indoors, we would build puzzles, and play lots of Risk. We could spend a whole day playing one game of Risk with my two brothers and 2 cousins.

I also enjoy playing those games. I would normally be riding my bike outside. Is it not funny the kids today games all all indoors and playing video games. They need to get out side and get some fresh air. I have not heard of kho kho and carrom board. What would they be.

Kho kho is a game played by 2 groups. One group of people sits in a row with alternate side facing and their leader is a cop who has to catch the thieves where as the other groups are thieves. In one end of the row stands the cop and the other end, stands the thieves. Once the leader starts running to catch the thieves, the thieves start running in the opposite direction . The cop can't run in between the row but the thieves can. So the cop takes the help of his assistants sitting in the row. Whereever the thieves are there, the cop says KHO (go) to the girl sitting facing that side and the girl thus becomes a cop and tries to catch them and the Ex. cop sits in her place If the thieves enters in between the row and comes this side, the cop asks this sided facing girl telling KHO and sits in her place. In this way they should catch all the thieves. Now comes the turn for the other side to become cop and his men . In this way the game continues
Carrom Board is a board game played by either 2, 3 or 4 . Singles or doubles. In this game a board with 4 pockets and 9 black coins and 9 white coins with a red coin will be there. One side will have to pocket all the white coins and the other black with a striker. The red coin is common.

When I was a kid, my friends and I used to enjoy all kinds of activites: riding bikes, It tag, freeze tag, hide and seek, board games like Memory, Candy Land, Trival Prusuit, & Chutes and ladders. We also liked to play "house" One friend was the "single/divorced/widowed" mother, and the others would be the "kids". We usually spent time over my house and we would have fun fixing my basment into a "haunted house" and would take turns scaring each other.. We loved to use our imaginations. Good times. I miss them.

what is It tag, freeze tag? I never heard of it. But I played hide and seek, board games like ludo, chess, chinese checkers, trade, and carroms and snakes and ladders. The game trade is never ending. Childhood plays are very interesting.
