Has anyone seen this show, and do you have anything to say about it? (And if you know anything about this show, do you know if it's still airing - or if it got cancelled? And what channel it's on?). I haven't seen this show but an AD for it caught my interest when flipping through a back-dated "gossip" magazine (while bored at work. Yes. Shame on me0. Anyway, I thought it looked interesting - but it's probably because I'm all for those "weight loss"/"make-over"-related shows. Has anyone seen this show, and have anything to say about it? Is it worth watching? What do you think? Do shows like this inspire you to change YOUR life for the better, or is it just a form of mindless entertainment?

Yes, I've seen it. I like it. I don't usually like weight loss shows because they make people seem pathetic. Ruby, however, is no one's push over. Although, in my opinion she could have better taste in men. Her boyfriend sucks. If you don't want to love someone just because they weigh more than you would like them to than you didn't really love them in the first place (at least in my opinion). I get that he's concerned about her health. I'm concerned about her health too because, honestly, no one's weight loss goal should involve the loss of an entire other me. I'm not a small girl but losing weight for someone or doing anything else for someone isn't going to stick. You have to do it for you. That's how I got myself into the orthopedist's office when I needed to go. It didn't matter that for years other people have been telling me I need to go. When I finally went, it was because my knee injury was interfering in my life in ways I found unacceptable. Whatever is going on has to matter to you personally before you'll do something you don't like.

I agree with you, obviously no one should try to lose weight for any reason other than perhaps their health in general and their OWN motivation in doing it.

There's a "Ruby" on the Style network. Looks like it's on Thursday nights (I just looked it up on the cable guide cause I couldn't remember where I'd seen it). There's also a Ruby and the Rock-its but if you're looking for weight loss and make overs, it's probably the one on Style. Hope that helps

Yes! That's it. It's supposedly about her weight loss journey. For some reason I'm drawn to those "reality shows" about one person's struggle to healthiness. Probably because I'm constantly trying to get "healthy". Ugh. But anyway, this helps!

I just discovered this show yesterday on itunes when I was looking for something else. I was interested immediately because I have a lot of weight to lose also, although not quite as much as she does. I am almost jealous of her because she is so pretty! I bought the entire first series and have watched the first episode, I'm restraining myself from watching them all at once. I went to the Style network website to find out more about the show before I bought it and it says a new season is starting in February.
